Awesome job breaking down the video! Can you tell me how the editing from 4:08 to 4:10 was done?

hi sure, taking quick shots, each one lasts for 2 frames at most, set them up right after each other in your software and you're all set. The trick is, all your chosen shots must be taken in the same direction, so if you want this exact same style, you can notice that all of them were moving from left to right, so it means he was panning right all his shots for this part...etc Then you can tweak it up a little by nesting, increase the speed and adding a slight directional blur

Oh I thought it'd be something like that. Thank you so much, cheers!
@DailyWirePlus6 жыл бұрын
@@blurr009 it's more complicated than that. even if you do one frame each it would be too slow. you need to line up a frame each, "nest" them together, then change the nest speed to be 200-300%. thats the best way to achieve this look

@@DailyWirePlus Ohso the key is speed! Thank you!

Thank you so much for this analysis. I came first from Sam Kolder camera movement effects and transitions to him (Leonardo) somehow. I thought that there is nobody better than Sam, but I was mistaken. I think I found a man whom from everything began. Now I understood that there is more I can see than I just watched before. I have no words to say how Im happy I found Leonardo Dalessanndri video arts so inspired to me. And thank you for your time to create this analysis again. Good job.

Brilliant analysis mate, well done. and yeah, i truly agree with the storytelling part. We have to tell a story in order to make the video more interesting, i really suffer from the storytelling thing, though i am still learning new techniques about it.

you can find a bunch of other people who try to focus on using the camera to achieve this technique. For now, I am just focusing on post-production. But once I get a proper filming gear I will make lots of my own vidz :)

Marcos Mediavilla hi Marcos thank you very much for leaving this comment. If you mean the breath like sound, you can find something similar on freesound.org .... but the speech itself, he had a lady worked with him but I don’t remember her name honestly! Hope that helps

From his interview: "When you are on the road shooting a personal project you cannot bring loads of equipment. Besides my two cameras, the Panasonic GH3 and the entry-level GoPro3, I had my MacBook Pro 2013 and two LaCie rugged portable 2TB drives. I didn’t use anything else. No sliders, no mounts, no stabilizing gear. I had a little tripod, but I did every shot hand-held. I had three lenses on my GH3: a Lumix 12 - 35 f2.8, a cheap 14 - 140 zoom lens and my favorite: a Leica 42.5 f1.2 nocticron. On the screenshot you also see an old Sony camera that I did not use. Most of the footage in the video came from the GH3."

well, back in the day I heard that he was using Sony. Now I don't really know but I know that Leica is one among the rest of his filming gear
