When you speak upon “the creída” comment Unfortunately this is something that happens in our Hispanic culture, Once someone starts doing better, And finally enjoying the fruits of life that they’ve built for themselves. They automatically label you as “se le subió el dinero” “presumida” “creída”. They don’t see the path you struggled and worked so hard for to get where you’re at. And instead of admiring your determination or picking up some inspiration to get there as well. They criticize and assume things out of jealousy. It’s honestly sad. Just keep your head up. As longest you know who you are that’s all that matters you don’t owe or need to prove that to anyone. Us how genuinely support you can see your honesty and pure heart, And it’s honestly why you’ve gotten so far. Sending you positive vibes to you and your beautiful family. 💜 Y arriba Michoacán 🇲🇽 lol

100% agree. Unfortunately it’s our own people criticizing us. We can’t be confident or care about our looks because automatically we’re stuck up or “forgot where we came from”. Oh and if we get a promotion at work and start making more money that lets us afford a better house and car, they say “we changed” or that “Ya se nos subio.” We as Hispanics and Hispanic women at that should support each other rather than bring us down.

I seriously wonder why youtubers are considered “ social media influencers.” Like wtf are they influencing? Expensive ass cars, houses, talking about their plastic surgery journey knowing that 50-80% of their viewers can’t afford this type of life and are probably beating themselves up for it. I can honestly say that I’m a little worried for what this next generation will go through and their mental health because they’re exposed to so much thinking that they have to live up to high expectations. I seriously think that Evette IS the example of an influencer. She’s always kept it 💯 and continues to stay in her own lane and share the reality of all the hate and manipulation that social media causes on people. If anything, she’s tried to bring awareness on that even on this video, but ignorant and hating ass people will turn around and judge the shit out of her. I seriously hope that THOSE people are taking care of their own mental health and considering setting a better example for the generations to come and being actual “influencers.” Evette- more of a reason to launch that book. Because behind every celebration there’s a struggle and a story to tell in order to INFLUENCE and MOTIVATE others especially during these times. Much love to you and your family 💕

Not sure if I’m diving into something I shouldn’t but based on that moment when you wanted to talking about your childhood, I can tell you are still emotionally hurt. Maybe you feel it more because you are a mother now and you sympathize with how hard that situation was for your family but I would advocate counseling just so you can let your thoughts and feelings out without getting that judgement. As Hispanics we tend hold things in, thinking they will eventually go away. Which end up hurting us more and I hope we start normalizing seeking assistance from past without being embarrassed or too prideful for it. Sending you a big warm hug y que dios bendiga tu Familia🤍

OMG Yes!! I went through depression and when I wanted to take care of me and my mental health my mom didn't understand and would just say "but depressed about what??!!!" She didn't understand and she got bothered and didn't talk to me for about 2 weeks! That was even more stressful to add to everything that I already had going on!
@marilynnmartinez31263 жыл бұрын
@@val.momof_3552 See that’s the type reaction of why we can’t be open up about what’s really going on, what’s worst is that this judgement comes from our direct family. I’m sorry you dealt with that. How are things now? Do you still feel depressed? I’m not going to say if you have overcome it because I believe you can’t really overcome depression. It’s more a process.. acknowledge it, process the feelings, and it slowly gets better. I have an uncle who doesn’t understand nor validates other peoples views or feelings. Well his wife left to Mexico with her 4 younger children (she is dealing with her own traumatic past including postpartum depression) she left him with two young teen girls. I can’t say he is the best parent figure for a lot of different reasons, but recently we found out that my cousin is 14 hasn’t left the house in over 4 months and just stays in her room all day. Her dad doesn’t believe she’s depressed because she eats and showers 😑, I was like no those are not the only symptoms of depression. He refuses to get her professional help. So me and family decided it was best for her to stay with us, until he got his head out of his ass and takes her to get help or we saw improvement. At first my mom was very hesitant about getting involved (being a Hispanic parent) but I told her, she’s a teen going through all these hormonal changes (wood swings), plus dealing with losing her mom and not mention her dad pretty much neglecting them. Someone needs to help here because I hope one day we don’t get a call that she committed suicide. Don’t get me wrong, I love being Mexican and I was lucky to have “opened minded” parents but I wished we were more openly and welcome to combat mental illness 😕

@@marilynnmartinez3126 yes, I think it’s different for them because it wasn’t talked about before and the help that is offered, or let alone the symptoms. I am good thank you for asking! ❤️ I have my moments here and there, specially now being cooped up at home, I did seek help, I knew I wasn’t ok, sometimes it hurts to talk about it but it’s part of me & my life & what I have gone through but it’s what makes me now. I eventually started doing things for my own happiness. I hope & pray for your uncle to come around, and to eventually let someone help him. Life isn’t easy, and we can’t always do everything, and hold in our thoughts in because of judgement. I am glad that you are helping your cousin, she is still small to have to deal with this at such a young age. I can definitely say therapy helps, speaking to a therapist helps a whole lot more! I cried so much during therapy yet I was just feeling so much weight lifting off my shoulders. Just be there for your cousin, and let her know that she is very much loved, and that I’m sure her mom still loves her, a mother’s love never ends, I’m sure the mom regrets it but even being a mom can be overwhelming, I hope she forgives her mom, and her mom ends up speaking with her, sounds like they just have so much going on, a lot of open wounds and so much hurt all around, I hope & pray that everything will eventually come around for them! ❤️

It’s usually the people who don’t have dreams or goals, or who aren’t putting in the work to accomplish their goals, that accuse successful people of being stuck up or self righteous. That’s because they didn’t understand the mindset of a successful person, or a person who is actually working towards success. They just don’t understand. But no worries girl, be use there is a lot of us out here who you are actually motivating and inspiring, and who are applauding you & cheering for you with every accomplishment and good thing that has come into your life and that you have worked for. You should be shamelessly proud if your self. Above all think of you kids and give yourself the credit for breaking the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck or in poverty. Be proud that you can give your kids a life that you didn’t have growing up. Of course always continue to instill the real important stuff into them, like humbleness, kindness, respect for others.. etc. But no matter what be proud of what you have done for yourself & for your kids & family & don’t worry about “fixing” they way other people view you, that’s not in your control.

Yesssss Evette! THIS,THIS VIDEO IS THE ONE!!!! Dam, I feel like this was the most real video you have ever made in the sense that you really just put it out on the table. I LOVED THIS VIDEO! So refreshing to see a real vlog on here and not some corny, goofy vlog. Share with us your ups and downs, we want to hear about the good stuff. A la chingada whoever thinks you are showing off.

honestly I love your personality, not just in camera but how you act around you friends and family. you have that personality that some people wish they had, outgoing, funny, loving etc. as you grow people are gonna hate. you're one of the realist influencers out there. I don't feel like you show off at all, you're very giving, we seen how you've gotten your family expensive gifts and stuff. point is youre a beautiful soul. your supporters will always be here to back you up :)

The fact that people actually think these things about you especially the “creída” part. You’re the most humble influencer out there and I look up to you for that❤️

Appreciate you doing this video. Your courage to speak on your struggles and being raw af should be celebrated! Keep doing you and working hard, keep doing the damn thing and be happy. I can see it’s definitely hard to talk about childhood experiences, this happens more than people believe...but damn you brought it into awareness, you’re bringing things to light and that’s amazing progress. You wrote a BOOK about it, THAT’S PROGRESS. Our inner child is still hurt, and THAT’s OKAY. You’re trying your best to live and THRIVE despite your upbringing. AND THAT’S OKAY! Appreciate you and all you bring❤️Sending you lots of good energy🙏

Evette this video had me tears not only seeing how much hate people have towards you but how hard it it is for you to talk about your childhood I just want you to know it’s okay to break down and cry. I’m sure most of us (your supporters) especially us Hispanics can relate to the struggles you went through I myself grew up in a single parent family on food stamps we got lucky if we got clothes from yard sales & having to pass on our clothes to younger siblings. I hope that one day you can share that with us 🤍 I love you Evette & your little family. I’m so glad I got to meet you at your last meet & greet the wait was so worth it 🥺🤍🤍 blessings your way!!

I’ve been following you for some years now and you are so real and genuine ❤️Im sorry people are so crappy to you but I’ve learned that some people can’t stand to see other people succeed I personally think it’s a reflection of how they feel about themselves. To them it’s a reminder that they haven’t accomplished anything and it’s easier to criticize someone and be bitter than to own up to their stuff and do the hard work that comes with it. It’s the hard truth so keep being yourself girl we love and appreciate your raw self ❤️❤️❤️
