All of them are killing me with their vocals, rap and visuals. My bias is Gaon and I love his tone of voice. My fav vocalist is Jooyeon. Fun fact: Jooyeon and Gaon are besties since the day they meet each other) Another interesting fact: all of them are so clingy. They even have a tradition to kiss each other on bdays. Watch their bday vlives, they are incredible)))) Jooyeon is very cute and goofy in real life, such a kid. Meanwhile on stage he is so charismatic, I didn't think that he was maknae at first. Junhan is introvert and the quietest in the group but they made him feel more comfortable and now he is much more confident. Gaon is a very smart guy who loves chemistry. On the radio show he talked about chemistry( I didn't understand nothing) and everybody was impressed. He actually won a science competition at school) and he was in a school band, but wasn't that good at playing guitar. He, Jooyeon and Junhan spent 2 years to learn how to play guitar. Even JYP himself was impressed by the fact how good they are just in 2 years) Gunil studied at Berkley, Boston. Had his own KZbin channel, and Gaon was his subscriber, having no idea that several years later they are gonna be in one band)))) what a fortune))))Also Gunil and Ode love sport and Changbin will be happy to go with them to a gym)))) Jungsu is very adorable and has the softest personality. He is just husband material 😍. He and Ode love fashion. If I am not mistaken he knows how to play piano since childhood. He and Ode there training as idols at first, but once they were asked to change the direction and were offered to become a band. They were so shocked, bcs they were learning so hard to dance and now they have to learn another thing. And most of them weren't sure about the band idea. There is a show called "Xdinary heroes: begins". These episodes will introduce guys better. They had the interview with JYP and it was so emotional. Also, there is their own show like Skz code, "Xdinary heroes: Rock the world". Please, watch it. It so hilarious. They even went to ghost house, and I can watch it for my whole life, they are such scaredy cats)))))) Also, they have goofy personalities, they are so hilarious))) Gaon, Jooyeon and Gunil are such crackheads, I love them for that. Please, watch their show, guide and funny video compilations. I want to see your reaction to their personalities. There is a guide, it's old, but you can know how they began))) BTW, have you seen their first predebut trailers and performance videos? Each of the member showed their abilities. Their trailer to the album is great too. There is a version with short clips on each song and it's fire)))) I hope you understand what I wrote, bcs it looks like a mess))))))) thank youuuu)

They’re actually so underrated. I feel like bands usually are! :( there cover of Impossible really hit me. That cover is probably the reason why I started listening to them and I haven’t heard a bad song by them! Here’s a short intro of the members Gunil (1998): leader, drummer. He used to study in Berklee College of Music. Fun fact, Good Enough was written by him based on his real life experience of an unrequited love. He wrote it first as a poem but then later made it a song with the help of YoungK. Jungsu (2001): keyboardist, Main vocalist. He probably has the smoothest voice I ever heard! It’s like water! At first he was an idol trainee under JYP. So he knows how to dance. Gaon (2002) : Rhythm guitarist, rapper, vocalist. I love it when he raps. I love his vocals too but his rapping voice is just something else! Quite versatile. He might look like the maknae but he’s in the Hyung line 😭 O.de (2002) : Synthesizer, rapper, vocalist. He’s everyone’s bias wrecker for sure 😂. He was also an idol trainee under JYP so he knows how to dance. jungsu and Ode both have covered some kpop dances too. They had to learn the keyboard in such a short time before they debuted. Junhan (2002): lead guitarist. Yeah he doesn’t sing a lot, but he has a few lines in deadlock album. He is very introverted but he speaks the loudest with his guitar solos. Jooyeon (2002): Bassist, Main Vocalist , maknae. I love his vocal tone and color. And he is versatile. Personally, he is my fav vocalist. Fun fact, Jooyeon’s parents first didn’t like the idea of him being an idol. But after his audition, the PD called his parents to persuade them 😭, bcz they wanted him on the show bcz of his skills.

OMG I can't tell you how cool it is that you actually checked out everything in my recommendation!! TBH I wasn't really sure that you'd like them this much, and I really didn't expect you to vibe so much with Freakin Bad. I worried that they'd be a bit too hard or weird, but I knew at the very least you'd appreciate their vocals and overall musical prowess. But then you mentioned the nostalgic vibe their music gave you and that made a lot of sense. They're pretty heavily influenced by pop punk and pop rock (a lot of which ironically was made before they were born lol) but also extends to a lot of alternative and metal/emo/screamo of the 2000s. A few of the ones they've mentioned that I can think of off the top of my head are 5 Seconds of Summer, Muse, Greenday, FTiland, One OK Rock. In fact in their last fan meet concert they covered Welcome To The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance, and it was so popular that they actually put a video of it up on their channel so deffo go check that out when you can. Fun fact they also did part swaps at that concert just to prove they they can all play multiple instruments like the badasses they are lol. I didn't realize you had already fallen for Day6, otherwise I'd have also recommended their cover of I'm Serious too. They're actually pretty close to the members of Day6 too, which makes sense given they're in the same agency and likely formed to fill the void left by Day6 as they started going off to do their military service and solo careers. YoungK helped Gunil with the lyrics for Good Enough and at least 2 of them are on his radio show almost every week. In fact when he had an unexpected schedule conflict come up at the last minute Jungsu and Gaon ended up hosting the show once when they were supposed to just be guests that day. So they aren't totally self-produced like skz, but w/ this upcoming album it seems like they're making their way closer to that on each comeback. In less than 2 years they went from a few arrangment and composing credits on their first album to the whole band being listed as writers/composers/arrangers for all the songs on this next one (along w/ more experienced producers of course). I'd definitely recommend familiarizing yourself w/ the members via kprofiles.com, as it usually has the photos from their latest comeback and lists out all their stage and nicknames. But for anyone who wants a quick and dirty guide, here ya go: Gunil (no stage name) - leader, oldest, drummer, occasionally sings, lovely warm and smooth voice - moved to the US in middle school so he speaks the best English - learned drums bc he was really lonely after moving to a foreign country so wanted something to do w/ his brother and also bc the drummer in their church band looked cool - went to Berklee College of Music w/ a scholarship for drumming which is one of the best music schools here in the US - used to have a youtube channel where he posted drum covers, that's likely how jyp scouts found him and they asked him to come audition for them when Day6 was touring the US - has big "dorky dad trying too hard to be cool" energy, is a terrible but very enthusiastic dancer Jungsu (no stage name) - left keyboardist, main vocalist, super powerful and piercing voice - studied piano as a kid but by the time he was in high school he wasn't serious with it - originally joined jyp with the goal of being a more traditional idol, trained for a while in dance and such before being assigned to the new band project that would become XH, has said he was really frustrated at first bc he basically had to start all over but now he loves being in a band and wouldn't have it any other way - designated mom #1 of the group, can be relied on to always be quick with a smile and a cuddle, has a very chill and laid back vibe with just a little bit of a sassy streak Gaon (birth name Kwak Jiseok, fans seem to mostly use Gaon but i've seen them call him Jiseok when he's in trouble like a mom saying your full name lol) - front guitarist, vocals, rap, similar low mellow voice to Gunil and killer rap flow - his cotton candy hair in the Test Me era was iconic - already played guitar when he joined jyp and was in some bands in school - subscribed to Gunil's youtube channel and was a big fan so it felt like meeting a celebrity when he fund out they were going to be in a band together - is a living meme, makes lots of weird noises, Jooyeon's chaos brother O.de (birth name Oh Seungmin, this and his stage name are kinda used interchangeably but I think O.de is easier to seperate from skz seungmin) - right keyboard/synth, rapper, vocal, very punchy punk-focused voice and powerful rapping - like Jungsu he also originally joined jyp to be a regular idol and trained for a year or so before being assigned to the band - not actually sure if he played an instrument before becoming a trainee or learned synth from scratch - was a cross country skier and considered being an athlete or model instead of an idol - mom #2, always looking out for their image, can be loud and chaotic when needed but usually a pretty chill guy, loves fashion and posts a lot of outfit pics Junhan (Han Hyeongjun, fellow xh members seem to usually call him hyeongjun but I think again to avoid confusion w/ other idols fans usually stick to Junhan) - lead guitar, sub vocals (mostly just harmonies and whispers and such) - suuuuper passionate about guitar, will talk your ear off just about the different pick shapes and would probably play until his fingers bleed if allowed to - the cutest little bean of an introvert, is very comfortable being alone with his thoughts but still loves his members a ton - loves rabbits and has a little stuffed one he made himself that he carries around most places - when he has a rare burst of energy when he gets excited about something it's the most adorable thing on the planet Jooyeon (no stage name) - bassist, lead vocal, maknae, extreeeeeemely powerful and versatile rock-influenced voice, can do the most gorgeous vibrato or scream like a hair metal frontman - would probably die of happiness if his fav band 5 Seconds Of Summer ever noticed him - Gaon's besty and chaos twin, hates his alarm clock and vegetables equally - from Daegu so he has a satoori accent that he can tap into when needed on variety shows - already played guitar when he joined jyp but was asked to learn the bass bc he has good rhythm

Thank you for all the information, that's amazing! I haven't actually looked into Day6, I couldn't even tell you how many members they have. I just heard the song Zombie because of Stray Kids cover and that got me to listen to the original as well on Spotify. I would be interested to look more into them at some point, and andif XH have done covers of other songs (i've only heard Zombie) then that would be cool to check out! XH's music definitely gave me vibes to being in my teens and young 20s listen to that genre, it is different from the other groups but still so good. I've been listening to Strawberry Cake and Knock Down every single day, and the others most days as well lol. ❤

@@EmberWishes yaaaaay! That fact that you've kept listening to the recommended songs makes me so happy! I know ur flooded with recommendations but I do hope u check out the rest of their music. Every album is legit no skip. I predict that Hello World will be ur fav, but the vocals in a lot of the tracks on Overload will hit u harder. I also call Junhan as ur bias, with Jooyeon a close 2nd. They did this Begins series on their yt channel documenting their prep for their debut, and a few of the eps feature each member getting to have a one-on-one chat with JYP, and say what u will about him as a cringe person or his company but he gave such great advice to all of them and was so compassionate. Especially with Junhan, who talked about why he's so shy and reserved and how hard it was to let down his walls for the members. JYP commented that people seeing someone like Junhan in a group like XH is so important bc it proves that the world of music performance isn't just for loud extroverts, that introverts or anxious people can still learn to be successful performers, which will lead to more talented people getting to be on stage. It just really stuck with me. And if u watch their content u see that Jooyeon is one of those idols who is very aware of his visuals but absolutely doesn't care about maintaining a cool idol image.

I definitely have respect for Junhan's (and all the members) talent, and I definitely relate to an introvert. If he'll be a bias or not, I'm not sure yet! My interest seems most taken by the person on the keyboard and Jooyeon, so it could be those two. Looking forward to trying more of their music to get an idea! :)

I'm so excited for this comeback like I cannot even 🥳 They have such amazing music and I can already tell from this sampler that it's gonna slap so hard. I was honestly shooketh when I saw I haven't recommended anything off the "Overload" album. I can confidently say it is their most underrated one, even tho it's filled to the brim with amazing songs. Maybe you can check them out at a later time. They'll definitely play a few songs off of for sure. (For example: 'Hair Cut' or 'X-mas' - they go hard live.) Also, like a few days ago, they announced a tour. THEY ARE FREAKING COMING TO EUROPE!!! and I sadly can't see them cuz they're not playing anywhere remotely close to me 🤧 (cries in eastern european lol). Anyways tho, I'm so proud of you recognizing them all. Their instruments were my definite cheat sheet in learning their names. It was when they didn't have them that it got harder, like in reality shows, interviews, or stuff like that, but I managed to have their names and faces down in like 2 days tops. 😅 You could call me hooked lol, but like I said, they really got me. Idk if I mentioned it in my recommendation, but Jooyeon is my bias. His voice just cures my days 🥰. He's actually the first Xdinary Heroes member I saw prior to getting into them. He was constantly brought back on my feed either cuz of his insane vocals in a brand new performance or cuz of his visuals (especially his hair). I kinda feigned indifference for awhile, until one day, a fancam of his from their iconic first performance on Immortal Songs 2 appeared on my tiktok fyp and it was over for me. I then went on to watch their 'Hellevator' cover and I just HAD to listen to their stuff. And so down the rabbit hole I went, never to come back. As for your question about O.de's name, it is pronounced 'ode' as in like the word (I don't remember the significance of the period in it tho). And I agree. He is a menace. Only as of this last year tho (from what I've seen). He kills me sometimes istg. When he's all acting up and getting on my nerves (as you may have seen in Freaking Bad 👀) I call him his real name, Seungmin. And as for Gaon, I sometimes just naturally switch back to calling him Jiseok. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Kinda depends on my mood, lol. God, I can't wait for their comeback! My biases are Jungsu, Jun Han and Gaon 🥰 Glad to see how Jun Han’s skill on the guitar shone through for you; he’s insanely talented and a genius in my opinion. He’s also a great songwriter and participated in writing some of my absolute favourites! In the previous video, I noticed the comment you read said 5 extroverts and one introvert, but it’s actually 2 introverts, as Jungsu (keyboard blondie who stole your heart 😉) is an ISFP. He is just able to sometimes match the crackhead energy of the others. And Jun Han does as well now- he’s massively come out of his shell since debut and it’s wonderful to see! O .de can be said two ways: in English just like the word ode as in song, or the Korean pronunciation which is more like ‘oh - duh’ but a super short ‘duh’ with no vowel extension at all. Whichever you prefer! I recommend kprofiles as a very easy way to get some basic info regarding names/ stage names, faces, ages, positions/instruments etc - it’s basically a wiki and a great (fandom-maintained) resource for just about any group. I noticed you had Pirates on screen at one point but didn’t get a chance to watch it, or did it get blocked? Please react to it if you have some time in the future, it’s such an amazing display of their vocals and is super up there for me alongside Knock Down, Test Me and 1-2 others. Recommendations for the next time you’d like to check them out: • Pirates - live clip • Dear H. - live clip • Man in the box • Dingo Rising Voice - similar to killing voice, but for newer rookie groups with a smaller discography. The two main vocalists; Jooyeon and Jungsu did a really great set and the 2nd half of the video is another group called Vanner who I’m not so familiar with.

On a separate note, it was great to hear you love Zombie by Day6!! Day6 is my ult group alongside Exo 😍 It would be absolutely amazing if you could check out Day6! They are also a band with amazing instrumental talent, phenomenal songwriters and flawless unique vocal strength. They definitely are not on the punky grungy side of the spectrum like the Xdinary Heroes sound. They have an extremely versatile discography (and great member solo work as well!). Everyone will tell you they pretty much have no bad songs, which sounds cliche coming from a fan, but is objectively true 😂😅 You’ll find Day6 fans in basically every idol group, like the ones SKZ you know, but also hoshi and DK from SVT are huuuge Day6 fans, Jongyeon from Twice, even non-idol celebs and actors often do covers of their songs. They are just that well-respected for the quality of their music. Here are a few recommendations in case you’re interested in checking them out: 1. Congratulations + You Were Beautiful live version from their Gravity world tour (this was my first look at them, KZbin algorithm auto played it and I was instantly in love 🥹 Congratulations is their debut song btw) 2. Time of Our Life (I think you would absolutely love this one actually! Wholesome, upbeat, feel-good fun 🤩) 3. You make me (the beltinggg 😭✨) 4. Days Gone By (Retro concept, nostalgic, The Strokes were quaking 😩) 5. I Like You (just perfection, I have no words) Many would agree that their b-sides outshine their already stellar title tracks. I don’t want to overwhelm you, so I’ll just recommend 2 that I personally find to be so wholesome and completely healing ♥️ 1. For Me - Live version also from the Gravity tour (Turn on captions, the lyrics are everything and will help you appreciate it even more 🥹 It’s officially uploaded on their channel by JYPE, so should be okay for copyright) 2. WALK - Official live clip. This is by Day6’s subunit called Even of Day, which consists of 3 members. (no captions here but the lyrics are so wholesome and you’ll probably get the gist from the chorus and overall vibe) They are beyond amazing and I really hope you get a chance to check them out. As for Day6, it's another group I know nothing about, I only discovered the song through the Stray Kids cover so then listened to the original on Spotify.
