Nervous about this one. There’s just so much me in it haha. Make sure you give it a like and a comment of some sort! I know some will hate it, but I wanted to try something new. It’s been nearly 9 years of making Son of a Glitch. I had a lot of fun making this and I hope it comes across. If you’re new to my channel, consider subscribing, we’re nearly at 1 million subscribers and it’d be awesome to have you here. Thank you so much for your amazing support. Enjoy this video. Let me know if your clip made it in too. And send me more on twitter @Astartshow Andy

Yo thanks so much for showing mine! If anyone’s curious on the specifics, here’s a bit more of a rundown: - I ended day 1 without plucking any reds through Day 1 Extinction. Just about any speedrun of the game shows this off nicely. - On day 2, it gives me a Pikmin to pluck, which would trigger the showcased cutscene normally. Since weird things happen easily if you pause when a cutscene starts, the devs were smart and disable pausing when you pluck your first Pikmin of a given type, unlocking it after a cutscene is played. - By punching the nearby Bulborb to death and waiting just under 5 seconds before plucking, I activated the cutscene that unlocks switching to Louie mid-pluck, re-enabling pausing. - By immediately pausing and ending day, the day first appears to end normally, as it clears the cutscene queue when triggered. However, after clearing the queue, the Pikmin finished being plucked, queuing the glitched cutscene that you saw there. I found this while experimenting with the end of day sequence to see if we can do something weird like load actors when there should be none or at least cancel an ending day somehow. The overlay of blue numbers that you see is what I use when creating TASes for the game, giving useful info on everything from the random number generator to what my captains are doing in the moment.

I don’t tend to run into many glitches, but one of my absolute favorites was when I was playing quest in Dragon Ball Xenoverse with a friend and we somehow managed to kick Piccolo out of bounds. Despite him having a sliver of health left, he never stood back up. So we were basically stuck and couldn’t do anything until we quit or the timer went off.

A different video than the usual! I actually think this is a cool concept where we submit glitches to you, rather than you showing them off to us and telling us to preform them and their applications/practicality. I still like your SoaG videos (who couldn’t love them?) but I think this has the potential to be another series that Andy and his channel are known for. Hope to see more of these in the future in addition to your regular content! Just don’t get burnt out and remember to have time for yourself and family of course! I’m glad be a Patreon supporter, Andy! I’ve been watching your videos for who knows how long now. Your content always manages to amaze me, and helped me understand some of the inner workings of games a bit, which I may or may not have used similar developer tips and tricks for high school and college projects. Another thing I like about your content is that it’s very clean and family friendly (wholesome if you will), and your good mood during your videos always puts me in a good mood as well! Also, thanks for the shout-out as a special thanks at the end! With my 25th birthday on the 14th of this month, this definitely was like a surprise/gift in it’s own regard. But really, thank you for the years of content, as I can only imagine how difficult it can be just to make one video and the dedication it takes. Especially when you have nearly a million subscribers!

I remember experiencing this weird glitch in mario galaxy with the toy time galaxy Luma star, where after spawning the star I got hit with a moving spike platform that had stopped, and it hit me in such a way that I got stuck between two switches and mario kept getting up but immediately fell down, and since the spikes stopped moving I had to restart the level, softlocking me. All I have is a crappy video of my 10 yr old self saying "HoW dId tHiS hAPpEn" on an old tablet.

My dude, please more of this! Maybe you know of it, but ten years ago Doom49 started the series "Mission Lolz", pretty much the same thing, adding commentary and some VC friends to enjoy the clips with down the line. Watched every single episode of that, and it was always really hard not to laugh with them. I'd maybe suggest giving people an easier way to submit videos and advertise it more over here; I for one don't have twitter and having some direct link or instructions in the video description or at the end of the video would be amazing :)

Thanks for the wonderfully entertaining video!

1:40 In some circumstances, a fluff will disappear upon touching the ground or a building, but it'll stay tangible and Mario can still grab onto it. The game has a limited supply of fluffs, so eventually, in order to make a "new fluff" spawn, it'll just teleport an invisible one and make it visible. If Mario's holding that fluff at that point, he'll get teleported with it. Pretty useful for TAS and individual level speedruns of the hidden Shine, but it's so random that no one's used it in an IL of the red coin mission yet, let alone a full game run

The Breath of the Wild one with the guardian on the raft is quite a fun one. Basically, if you cut the legs off of a guardian stalker then get it onto a raft (Lanayru wetlands is a great spot, since you can use cryonis to flip it on), the raft will just start flying with the guardian on it. I think the position of the guardian on the raft affects it, but I'm not entirely sure how. It's very finnicky, and can only sometimes do what you want it to do. What they could have done to make it easier is if they first pacified the guardian (urbosa's fury twice then stasis) and then flipped it over, then they can just hang out with a guardian on an airship. Though the launch at the end was definitely cool. Also the one with the rotation bug probably wasn't technically lizalfos curse, since that was patched a while ago. More likely it was hinox curse, where you move a hinox under a waterfall. It could have been boomerang curse, but I don't think there's a fairy fountain nearby to do it with.
