I think the only true superstar QBs who can carry regardless of circumstances(though obviously anyone needs help to go anywhere in the playoffs) are Mahomes, Allen, and Lamar. The tier of QBs below that are more reliant on having a certain level of weapons and support around them to perform at an elite level, but those guys generate enough on their own that they'll have their team on track for 10+ wins every season regardless of surrounding circumstances. Most playoff contenders are gonna have guys like Burrow, Hurts, Purdy, Stafford, Goff, etc. who are very good but more dependent on being surrounded by quality weapons.

We saw yesterday josh allen is clearly the second best qb in the league. You can make a case he’s the best in the league given he’s outplayed mahomes but is let down by his team. Mahomes was carried by his defense to the superbowl… lamar put up 7 points against that defense lol. Josh allen had 3tds while having a ton of drops and multiple tds dropped…. Also doing this with mediocre weapons

Some QBs can do more with less than others. No QB can win a Super Bowl without a good situation, but guys like Brady and Manning could always will their teams to 10 wins even if they sucked, and the same is generally true for guys like Mahomes, Lamar, and Allen.

Manning never have slouches catching the ball: -reggie wayne -marvin harrison -edgerin james -dallas clark -wes walker (who was on 07 pats undefeated team)

Idk if Burrow should be above Lamar whether he wins a MVP (which I think Allen should win but Lamar is fine) or if he wins a Super Bowl which i think he very much can with that defense and the way he has been playing. Joe burrow definitely is top 3 but if somehow Josh Allen wins MVP and Lamar Jackson wins Super Bowl Joe Burrow falls out of top 3 but shouldn’t be below top 5. Well shouldn’t be below 4 really.
