This needs to be said. On the 4th and 5 play, once the Chiefs lined up, it was apparent that the play AS CALLED by Brady, was not going to work. Situational football. The Bills had 3 timeouts. Game is literally on the line. “Let’s get this right.” Coaching failure to call one of 3 timeouts. Play didn’t fail because Josh didn’t shift the O Line coverage.

Ain't happening. That's like the height of absurd overreaction monday takes. Of all the problems the Bills have, and there are many, Allen is the least of their worries. It's a product of the era we live in. This Bills team over the last 4 years would've made multiple super bowls if not for Mahomes. I mean, Mahomes is arguably the greatest QB of all time. Brady may have more rings, but that's because he played 20+ years. In two weeks, Pat may be over half way to catching him in just 8. Ridiculous. It's just how the cookie crumbles. Bills just need more talent across the board. Their roster is not that good and frankly it's incredible they got this far and beat the Ravens in the process. Allen and Cook were the engine of this team the entire season. Their defense is abysmal but they got by because they were really good at getting takeaways. The takeaways, combined with how clean the Bills offense has played this year, led to them having the best turnover differential in the league but that was masking the SERIOUS deficiencies of their defense. Deficiencies that showed themselves in the Rams and Lions games, where they allowed over 40 points in back to back weeks. They remind me of the 2011-2012 Packers. The Packers won 15 games that season. They had the best offense in the league that season, like unstoppable. But they had one of the worst defenses in the league statistically. Maybe even the very worst in the league that year BUT they got turnovers when they needed them and it let them skate by despite their glaring issues on that side of the ball. What ended up happening is, they get the #1 seed and have a bye week and then the 9 win NY Giants come to Lambeau and dominate them and win by multiple scores. The Giants offense wasn't as good as there's, but they couldn't stop Eli, Victor Cruz, Manningham, Nicks, etc. Giants offense moved the ball up and down the field. The Giants had a better defense, one of the best defensive lines in the league, and they got enough stops on Rodgers to be able to win the game. Massive upset. The Bills are not going to get over this hump with a defense that cannot pressure Mahomes or make it even remotely difficult for him to move the ball. Chiefs receivers were wide open all night. Their #1 corner goes down and his backup is DREADFUL and has no business being anything other than a CB5 on a depth chart or on a practice squad somewhere. In this game, Mahomes had the best drop back success rate of his ENTIRE CAREER. Every receiver was wide open, there was maybe like 1 opportunity for a pass breakup all game. Guys just wide open, there isn't a defender within arm's reach on any play. There's no sugarcoating it. The Chiefs have their best offensive performances every year playing Buffalo in the playoffs. They've totally figured out McDermott's defensive system and philosophy and they know how to exploit it to get anything they want and it's even easier when you don't have any talent on that side of the ball to makeup for it. It's time for some major changes in that organization. Whether it's coaching staff, coaching philosophy, or making some bold moves in free agency or potentially make some trades. They've spent the last 4 years running it back, it hasn't worked.

They can make them close. But they seem to falter every time when it really matters. There's an enormous difference between being able to drive a team down the field throughout the game versus on the final drive where it HAS TO BE DONE, DO OR DIE. Bills were probably really hoping that the Vikings were very mid this season when they got that 2nd round pick for Diggs lol. It was still a good trade for them I think. Diggs was 30+ years old, causing issues with the locker room and he suffered a season ending injury this season anyway. I think it was a fair assumption for them to have. Mack is about to get paid. And deservedly. Been telling folk since we landed him and Samuel, that he was gonna kill it once the chemistry was there. Man was I still wrong, lol. Guy met and exceeded my expectations. And then some. Special teams, run blocking, YAC plays, vacuum handers, run blocking, this guy killed it all. Way to go Mack, ...for someone so stoked when we signed you and Samuel , I feel kinda weird noticing how insanely good that move turned out to be. Samuel took awhile, (injuries and being buried on the depth chart), but I knew he was coming along. Honestly, I kinda expected him to be the bigger contributor, at the time of the signing, at least. Pretty quickly I noticed the advantages of having such a good blocking wideout (enter Mack Hollins) on the field as much as physically possible. 😁 Anyhow, hoping we re-sign Samuel and Hollins, and Cooper now that we're on the topic. They had no chance. It's clear that the officiating bias in the NFL is so pro-Chiefs that nobody has a chance. This has been going on for years. And I used to be a Chiefs fan (they were my AFC team) back when Len Dawson was the QB. I had a soft-spot for them. But the last four years have just been crazy in all the favorable BS that goes their way. I just don't see what everyone talks about with Josh. I worked security for the games and get their games every week on tv. Josh Allen, mentally, is not at all who everyone wants him to be. It's a shame that they have wasted talent with him being the QB. The fact that the offense completely went away from James Cook when Josh Allen struggled to move the ball is disappointing.
