Recently started Spy x Family and I have 1-2, 4-7 . . . 3 seems elusive. The funny thing about that is another series I like, Servamp, I have everything through 14 except one and of course that one is 3. I do have it on order (though it’s back ordered, so who knows when I’ll get it), but for a while I had a choice between paying $30+ or just not buying it and much as I do like the series, it’s not high enough on my priority list for that price. I have some others where #3 was harder to get, but it wasn’t the only one in the series and not like these two series level of hard either.

i love junji ito, but the thing about his work is if you dont have the phobia in the manga, then it wont scare you too much. i have a fear with gore and surgery so dissection girl is the scariest to me

I think you should make a part two of this. I had a lot of fun watching:) Kodocha I really love the series. Series is 10 volumes long. It’s comedy and romance in school. There are parts that have adult themed stuff (not sexual) but still very good Manga. Highly recommend to read it! Yes Food wars I have the whole manga and yes the ending it to……😕

all that does is keep dust out imo which I’m not really concerned about, it doesn’t help to prevent yellowing and if you live in a humid environment it can even be bad for your books if moisture gets trapped in there

hellooo aria here :) i'm so glad you considered checking kono oto tomare out! it's basically about a hs club that plays a japanese traditional instrument called the koto, it also follows their internal struggles and how their friendships progress. there's some romance in it as well. its heavily underrated imo and the art is gorgeous, there's an anime with 2 seasons you can try as well :DD

Noragami is probably my fav manga ever and this is coming from someone who doesn't really like fantasy either. Unlike usual fantasies, Noragami is set in the contemporary world but with crossovers with the "Far Shore"(is what they call it) where there's gods and phantoms. I personally think it's less fantasy but more dark and emotional kinda story. The themes the story tackles and the way the characters are written are done really beautifully. And the further you dive into the story, the darker it gets too. If you've watched the anime, the manga is actually slightly more darker cause I think the anime highlighted the comedy parts more. Which isn't bad, it's just what I get after watching the anime and reading the manga.

my attempt at a censored response lol: i’m not sure if you’re asking as someone who has read/seen the series or hasn't so i’ll give 2 answers non-spoiler answer: i’m not one to bash women but i found the female lead hori extremely annoying and even possessive in her relationship and she is also h@mophobic on multiple occasions even though it “stems” from her possessiveness, also the series takes a turn from a romance story to more of a comedy and the cast is too large in my opinion and got off course from the main plot ‼️spoiler answer: also the um 18+ scene if you know what i’m talking about made me so uncomfortable, not because i’m a prude but the whole issue with her brother being present made me cringe, the moment when they hugged it out and miya promised he wasn’t gonna take his sister away from him or whatever made my head hurt idk h@rny teenagers do dumb stuff i guess and also that scene was progressively worse in the original webcomic ... idk if i explained this well enough but it just really rubbed me the wrong way and after that i slowly but surely fell off the series, this was also years ago that i read the manga but i was reminded of all the reasons i didn’t like the series when i saw the new anime was coming out i never really said anything though bc so many people love the series but i hope that satisfies your curiosity lol

I was thinking about submitting my collection but due to the nonexistent space, my display is not exactly ideal, so I gave up...it would take too much effort:') But I love looking at people's collections...I mean, that's why I am here in the first place. France has probably the best manga market outside of Asia. The stuff they publish is so diverse. Kono oto Tomare is very good, about kids in a koto club, been reading the manga for years...recently there was an anime too. Your friend is not lying, Kuroshitsuji manga is pretty great...Kuroshitsuji is just unfairly infamous. The first and second seasons of the anime don't do the manga any justice at all...but then the Book of Circus, Book of Murder and Book of the Atlantic follow the manga way more closely and therefore are way better. But Inuyasha is just ok...one of the first animes I saw at like 16 but even then I didn't think it was any masterpiece. There is tons of filler and the characters were getting on my nerves a lot...in fact so much, that I became a die hard fan of the main villain and just wanted him to off them all lmao. But Inuyasha gave us one of the best openings and endings in anime history, still listen to the songs to this day. Jujutsu Kaisen is imho nothing new but every generation needs their popular basic shounen. Though I mostly did enjoy watching it (except the arc with the school from Kyoto, that was boring) and JK also has some of the best female characters I've seen in a basic shounen and well, most of the characters are pretty interesting and/or likeable. I plan to watch the next season but so far I am not that interested that I would want to pick up the manga. Btw. great to meet someone else who doesn't like Horimiya...I was so disappointed by it because everyone was raving about it, even the people I usually trust on manga.

thank you so much for the insights! and yes! i believe french and german have the best international manga markets which i find so interesting for black butler i have seen all of the anime and i agree, it does get better with the later seasons/ovas but i never got into the manga bc well i got like weekly spoiler updates for it lol much like attack on titan inuyasha is my friends favorite due to nostalgia reasons i'm pretty sure she grew up with but she said the sequel about their kid (?) that is more recent is also good and with jjk idk i just find myself not really drawn to big popular shonens like that demon slayer, promised neverland, etc but i'll probably at least watch them all eventually and haha i got you i'm not a fan of horimiya at all ... i think i read like 10 volumes of it before it got unbearable

Part of my love of fruits basket comes from being really nostalgic over the original anime and the tokyopop version of volume 1( I watched it in my early teens way back in 2008). I only recently got to read fruits basket in it's entirety thanks to yen press releasing it again. I guess the new fruits basket anime really pushed the hype for the series to new heights because anime only fans who'd been waiting for over ten years for a completed story finally got one and new fans also got introduced that way. I like the soft atmosphere the manga has. Being more easily available as a manga helps as well. What turned you away from the series?

i like it sometimes but i think i’m pretty picky with them, i usually prefer a more mature romance or just something not set in high school

nagatoro anime is absolutely terrible. the manga however is so incredible. the art and the story is so much better in the manga and in the anime they exaggerated nagatoros bullying so much. i recommend checking out the manga rather than watching the anime

good to know ya the whole time i've been watching the anime i've been so confused bc i've heard good things about the manga but i'm like in pain sitting through these episodes, nagatoro and her friends are so bratty it's really off-putting
