Hi Emerson from Australia. I have to smile when you specify what your favourite songs / performances by Amira are. At one time you were adamant it was Nessun Dorma, Amazing Grace & Ave Maria. Shortly after your were equally certain it was then Your Love. Now you are determined it is a Sound of Music medley. I can't blame you as all her songs / performances are magnificent. My personal choice in the following order, as it was once yours, is Nessun Dorma (wasn't she simply beautiful there at the CIG Concert in South Africa in Dec 2017). Next Your Love (again exquisite but also absolutely regal at Max Proms in Utrecht, Netherlands in Dec 2017. Finally Ave Maria (duet with Gissur Pall Gissurarson in Reykjavik Iceland in Dec 2015 (where I truly believe Amira came of age). It is very hard to overlook O Mio Babbino Caro with Andre Rieu at Maastricht, Netherlands in July 2014, Nella Fantasia in South Africa in June 2016 and again in May 2018, Amazing Grace in South Africa in June 2017, Gabriellas Song in South Africa in June 2018 and Hallelujah in South Africa In June 2018. A very difficult exercise but nonetheless a wonderful task to undertake.

Hi Emmerson, this young lady is something else. I’ve been following her since she won Holland’s Got Talent. Can’t get enough of her performances. I draw your attention to a tenor by the name of Jonathan Antoine. I know you love tenors , so please react to this remarkable young man. I know Amira’s manager was trying to arrange a duet between the two. Not sure whether that is in progress or not. Jonathan has the most magnificent voice & his interpretation, with softness & power , is simply outstanding. Please check him out as I would love your opinion as his voice is as good as any current Tenor

Just what we expected from Amira pure clear and plenty power from her voice she's getting so much better as she gets older and still love the courtesy after her rendition of the song this is a left over from Andre Rieus master class as he expects that from all his female performers. "The Sound of Music" is not a opera, but a musical and this is a medley. Maybe that is the reason you have never heart of it. And yes, Amira sings it to perfection.

This was three songs from the movie The Sound of Music. First was The Sound of Music (or The Hills are Alive), the second was Edelweiss, and the third Climb Every Mountain. She did a fabulous job. And thanks for noticing the others too, the Choir & Orchestra. Seeing all these shows on DvD's, I have decided all of them and mainly Amira are top Class performers. I wish they were here in the states

Emerson, l have probably watched all your reactions videos on AMIRA's singing and l like all your natural instincts that are the result of AMIRA's amazing gift. From her Opera songs to the more new songs that she is doing, it a blessing just to hear an incredible voice and tone lift you up. You are quite right to have the clouds as she sings for if you love music you cannot fail to listen closer. All this enjoyment that she brings and yet so grounded and her Foundation for the children in South Africa. Your age like my own has the ability to forget, l choose not remember ed yet, but in your case l also appreciate your honesty. There are many superb singers who are great, but when you hear Amira she delivers something else that wants you to stay and listen, irrespective of the language. Hello Emerson. this is the famous movie, The sound of Music, the story of Austrian family von Trapp that ends up fleeing their country and taking refuge in the USA (Vermont) under the Nazi regime just before the war. They became a singing family, the widowed father, his many children, and the servant Julie Andrews becoming the new wife. Julie Andrews made these songs famous. Later, she was to play in the My Fair Lady musical on Broadway, Still like Julie Andrews, but Amira does a good job here. Good reaction. You are not too old, your too young, that's why you do not know these songs. Aren't you happy that you're getting all this information from a young 70 year old ? 😒

Julie Andrew was considered for movie My Fair Lady but the role was given to AUDREY HEPBURN. Julie Andrew ended accepting the role in the Disney's Movie Mary Poppins and did beat Audry Hepburn with it by winning the Oscar. Amira did a wonderful job singing the Sound of Music. I am sure Julie Andrew would say so.

1965 film of the Rogers and Hammerstein musical, starring Julie Andrews, is very well known. Sound of Music is the opening theme. Edelweiss is a song about a small whit mountain flower. Climb every mountain. A song saying. Go for it!.

We are well. Hope you are okay. The nightmare should have left us by now! Oh I think it was a British movie done in Austria in the beautiful mountain region probably South Tyrol, not sure, about an aristocratic family in WWII. They all sang sings, family consisted I think if many children. My friends daughter told me about it. Scenery very beautiful as Austria is! Amira sings this very beautifully. Eidelweiss is a flower in Austria, known by all Austrians. Sone lovely songs in this movie I believe. She sings to perfection!!!

I already left a comment and I gave you praise for also, noticing the orchestra and choir. So I thought I would mention a couple of pieces also in these shows, that are great performances. As far as I know, only two are on you tube. Except all with Amira. The first is a Queen song listed as Classic is Groot Bohemian Rhapsody unexpected performance by Joseph Clark. He was the first guy to sing in the My Way song you reacted too. Second is a Tom Jones piece called Delilah. Performed by Patrizio Buanne It is listed as Patrizio Buanne ( the one that sang with Amira O solo Mio), Sings Delilah at Classic is Groot in South Africa I knew you liked Queen from your reaction of Protsenko Karolina, We are The Champions.. Like the Sound of Music these shows have so much energy. These are the shows you reacted to Amira and gave high regards. 2016 was O Mio Bambino Caro, O Solo Mio W/Patrizio Baunne, and Nella Fantasia. 2017 was her Nessum Dorma, The Flower Duet, and your Favorite AMAZING GRACE, and 2018 where she did Gabiell's song, Hallelujah, and Amigos Para Siempre

Please Emerson !!! Tell me you have never seen the biggest "musical" movie ever! Even more so as you are a person who likes this type of movies !!! The "Sound of music"; or with the title of how it was released in Brazil, "A Noviça Rebelde" in 1965 !!! I beat the box office record for the movie "Gone with the wind". And it took many years to break the box office record again! It premiered at "Musical Theater" in Brodway; and received 5 Academy Awards! Including "best movie" and "Soundtrack". If you have not seen her you will never fall in love forever !! Because the work of its 2 main actors; Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer go down in history !! If you have never seen the movie, you're late !!! Because what Amira is doing singing these songs is from another galaxy !! And when you see the movie and understand what it means; You will understand almost finally, what I warned you about Amira for many years! The movie made from the musical with Christopher Plummer and Julie Andrews was released in 1965... and is still a classic of today... A wonderfull story about the "Von Trapp" family at the times of the Anschluss, the annexion of Austria by Nazi germany... the movie is available on KZbin Movies, so you can go watch it. it is a really wonderfull musical movie with a very strong message. And even more, the song "Edelweiss", which is an unofficial austrian anthem, is really sung by Christopher Plummer in the movie (one of my favourite actors not only for this performance of his but also for those in "the battle of Britain" and even more his portrayal of Wellington in "Waterloo" of Dino de Laurentis...) And I believe really that Amira is on the same level if not even better in those songs than Julie Andrews.

A good idea is to be a bit suspicious to that sort of personalities. But they soon move to next teenager cause Amira an hour ago officially announced she now has a boyfriend. Bet she got fed up with creepy oldies and had to address a statement 😃 .
