I've enjoyed the villan's lair series even though I haven't seen much Disney stuff. Most fascinating for me is seeing the credits and who did which part; then going back and watching again to focus on each.

The Princess Academy was filmed at Casa Feliz, which is a gorgeous location. You’ve actually seen it before, fairly recently, in Geoff’s Ain’t No Sunshine 😁

Up until The Ruse, all the Villains Lair episodes had been filmed at Pattycake Studios. (And all of season 2 except for Life’s Not Fair). But the Princess Academy (and that one villain episode) were filmed on location at Casa Feliz. It’s primarily a wedding venue, but can be rented for filming. But along with the problems filming on location causes, it does increase the expense. The Princess Academy is VERY expensive to produce.

If it doesn’t say in the credits who sang a part I can’t say (😉😉). But I can say that Tony was filmed doing the movements and expressions as a guide for the animators. And I doubt Scar will appear again, since the animation was NOT cheap. But it was good to see him here.

Season 2 gets into more detail about their plans. They just released season 2 episode 6 Ancient Relics parts 1&2 a few weeks ago. Can't wait for you to do more Villains Lair.

Both Layne and Tony have adamantly stated that they will not do any further animal characters, including a return of Scar, as the process is so extremely costly. Also, Tony voiced Scar.

Fun as always. :) I'm pretty sure that "every rose has its thorn" was also a reference to Aurora going by Briar Rose (her name from the Grimm version) while living with the fairies in the animated film.

Also. Pattycake Productions just released their new video.... "You're The One With The Problem". Genshin Impact video games company commissioned Pattycake to write a song and make a video for 3 of their villains. Arlecchino, Scaramouche and La Signora. Portrayed by 3 of the actors (Cruella DeVille, Prince Hans and Vanessa) from Villains Lair. It is absolutely fantastic. Very upbeat with a similar vibe to Villains Haunted Mansion. Please do that one soon as well. Thank you 🙏
