There have been many times when Kanami professes her love & admiration for Saiki. From her little mannerism's & the way she likes to tilt her head back over her shoulder to see if Sai-chan is watching her play a solo, to Saiki helping her tie the bow on her bonnet under her chin before shows & appearances. Everyone in the band are a lot closer than most peoples families :)

Kanami is a very interesting character. There is a kind of naive child like quality to her honesty. Yet, she can play the meanest had rock guitar when she feels like. I think that probably the two balance themselves out. It's quite difficult to fathom, but it is beautful to see and we love her for it.

Kanami stated in a previous interview somewhere that she started learning to play guitar to be admired and considered a cool girl by the other girls at her school...before Bandmaid. So...assuming thats true...and given the amount of seemingly gentle, loving attention Saiki shows Kanami, one can assume that since Saiki is probably the coolest girl she's ever encountered, there's some genuine love and affection there. Saiki slso seemingly kept encouraging Kanami to keep writing and composing when the label was rejecting her music early on, telling her she's good, etc...which probably helped foster this. One thing seems true...Kanami definitely has a desire and need to be praised and adored by other girls. To what extent it's exaggerated, who knows. Either way who cares as long as they stay together making awesome music

I think Kanami has a deep admiration for Saiki (anything beyond that, don't care). At the same time, Kanami is a god-level musician, and understands the vocal excellence and stage presence that Saiki brings to the band. She also knows that Saiki has a tsundere personality, something they talked about in a later Kannai Devil episode, so probably there is some ego-stroking going on there as well. The fact that Miku trades virtual currency is not at all surprising. She's definitely an entrepreneur and tireless marketer of their product.

This was a nice surprise! These videos are just as fun as reactions to their music. Somehow, their interviews are entertaining even after you've seen them a handful of times. It's kind of amazing how this band inspires a fandom where there's such an interest in not only their music but their personalities as well. I've never been interested in other bands or artists' off-stage, but I read anything about Band-Maid as soon as I hear about it. Also worth noting is how healthy the interest is for the vast majority of fans. Given how passionate the community is, it would be easy in our enthusiasm to overstep our bounds. Luckily, it's a great community, which is what this band deserves. Looking forward to the next one!

In Saiki's most recent social posts about their pre us tour, She has called Kanami cute, called herself lucky, and that she loved Kanami. (Several posts about her drinking on stage) I don't know for sure if they are a romantic couple, or just soul mates. Either way, I think they're awesome. None of my business, and I'm just happy to see them continue being awesome.

Pretty sure it's a set, because when all five appeared on a later show they talk about how Saiki walked into the presenter's dressing room by mistake but was like "IDGAF." I think that's also the one where Kobato demonstrates Omajinai Time and gets so into it that Kanami gets a little scared 😆

Miku is definitely a strategist; very sharp. They are playing up the band narratives for sure but actually I do think Kanami is in love with Saiki. Just my opinion of course. They are good actors too.

Your decision early on to start from the beginning and work your way through their music in chronological order was smart and unique among reaction channels. You have some great songs remaining (HIBANA), plus whatever the new EP brings us in ten days. You are going to see them live, yes? I mean you can't have gone through their great discography and not be holding a ticket right now. A reaction to your seeing them live would be a natural culmination to this series, I think.

Prior to forming Band Maid, Miku actually worked in a maid cafe which would explain her outgoing nature when interacting with people. In the early days, Miku tirelessly promoted the band at any and every opportunity. Eventually, all the maids begin to show up at this little cafe. Kanami is much more reserved but has a soft, soothing voice. FYI, Kanami did do an online 30 minute presentation for PRS guitars and their 35th anniversary lineup of guitars.

I read in an interview I believe that Kanami is a bit socially awkward .. I say she is wonderfully unique in all right ways .

On the crypto, couple that with her poker playing and I think she probably has made a killing at it. And Kanami's voice at times sounds like a child's, and at other times she sounds like a teenage valley girl airhead. And Kanami's love of Saiki is maybe overplayed to make her safer. A couple of things I found browsing forums from Japan referred to female artists being taken advantage of by unscrupulous executives and many to avoid such attention act to make people think they "Play for the other team" to help keep them from those attentions. I have found nothing that suggests that Kanami got such attention, but all the stuff I've found is from after she joined Band Maid, nothing before when she was an independent artist. And yes the first one it was just Miku and Saiki. I just wish all of the video's had embedded subtitles.
