Unlike league of legends, legends of runeterra is MUCH more friendly to newcomers. If u like card games, being able to play it casual, and some beautiful card arts, I'd highly recommend

So yea. Legends of Runeterra has some of the best animations theyve ever made. Absolutely beautiful videos. Legends of Runeterra is a card game focusing on the armies youd see in the world of league of legends (aka Runeterra). Its a great card game, but im not one for card games personally. But the animations for it are absoltely amazing. If you watch more legends of runeterra videos, youll see many are about sections of the world of Runeterra, and are based on the region. As you noticed, riot is well known for a blend of 3d and 2d animation working together. Youll notice this in many of their animations if you look closely.

This one was just hauntingly beautiful, Has always been one of my favorites. The animation was gorgeous. It's all about the pupil dilation. The song was just eargasm. I have the song in my playlists. Just crazy that this was the trailer for a CCG

Riot Games love to mix in 2D effects and painting over a 3D model to get that painterly effect. idk who animated this but Riot loves to outsource Studio Fortiche who goes ham on 2D/3D. Fortiche is actually the dudes who are working on the Arcane series and animated Rise mv, Ekko Seconds, KD/A Pop/Stars mv, the original PROJECT trailer (i think) and Get Jinxed mv.

You really need to see the League Of Legends ANNIE:ORIGINS The animation of that fim is really Amazing and Different.

They started trying effects like this to get a story book effect but man it’s ascended to just a gorgeous blend of styles

This is non Canon and is more a pure ad than to have any lore. Otherwise, we would have to ask why Noxus and Demacia are fighting together against Ionia, who is working with the Shadowisles. That part confirms its non Canon and meant to show that even mortal enemies can be used for the game.
