As Matt and Lo Neal say, this is a Super Bowl caliber Defense. Minter could very well get some HC interviews this offseason, so we need to make what we can of this season. I’ve lowered my expectations to 11-6, or 10-7 instead of 12-5, but I still think this team is at least a divisional round playoff team, and if they can get right they’ll can go further. The thing I like about this team is we’re not seeing the same repetitive messy stuff each week as chargers teams of years past. There have been adjustments, and there will continue to be adjustments!

@@ottowilliams4584 This is the same guy that’s made the same defense that was bottom 5 the past three years into a top ten one with the best scoring defense in the league. And he’s been consistent everywhere he’s been, with more experience than Staley. It’s not at all the same. Of course not everyone is fit for a HC position but there’s certainly gonna be at least one team out there that would want to sign Minter as a HC.

I think you have the diagnosis of what the problem is for the offense incorrect. Without wide receivers that force them to not load up in the box, you can run the ball. LADD's been hurt, no Chark, no QJ. This game helped solidify Ladd as a weapon, but it's still mainly just him. It's still the same solution, throw the ball into lots of tight windows.

Haskins slapping the ball out of the endzone prevented the TD. Almost thought Special teams was going to lose it for us. I remember that season where we had bad Special teams. Today's game Herbert said we are not losing. Did Brenden Rice get yelled at again? Someone tell that kid to stay home and study the plays. Hortiz will get it done. But the question is what he wants to pay.

Look at all the great teams, they always have a world class tight end. It's so important to have that weapon. My outlook on the trade deadline. Todays game is further proof to me as to why we do not need a WR but a TE. Ladeenan did all his damage from the slot today. 85 yards, 2 tds from the slot. With chark/palmer and qj, that will put ladd in the slot full time. Ladd will be on the perimeter in some personnel. Herbert will put the ball where it needs to be, example being the drop by dissly. That was a pretty pass by herbie. Hurst probably catches that. I would like to have someone more reliable than hurst, tho. My target would be either njoku or the one and only hunter henry. Herbie loves to hit his TEs and we know it. I truly think that has been our missing piece.

Short week and the Saints had a “mini-bye” coming off Thursday night. They had A LOT of players come back from injury, we are still gimping pretty badly. We need iOline help at center and rt guard. They can fix Zion in pass protection, and he is a monster run blocker. If I was going to target a player, it would be Hunter Henry and or Olave if we could pry him loose. Maybe another quality depth corner. You are NOT getting an OLineman for a reasonable price in season. That is off season focus.

I don't how the coaches could get Herbert to extend more plays. Every other elite QB has that ability to get outside the pocket and extend plays/use their legs to pick up yards. Herbert already secured the extension, he needs to start getting out and using his athleticism more like mahomes/Lamar/Allen etc.

Herbert has literally always done that. this season he hasn’t really done so because that high ankle sprain basically made him immobile. he was able to do that again now that his ankle has seemingly healed up

He's a phenomenal athlete who should be running around like Allen and Mahomes, but he sits in the pocket too long and takes too many sacks because of it. Yes the O-Line is suspect in the interior, but if Herbert extended plays more and became a threat to rush for a first, this offense would open up greatly .

Yeah second week in a row where the refs seem to have something against the Chargers. Number 93 on the Saints need to get kicked out the league after trying to hurt Justin . But anyways, Zion Johnson isn’t good but he’s what we got, both of Ladd’s TD’s surprised me, the running game is still ehhh but the defense has been great, see what happens when Michael Davis isn’t your number corner. Cam Hart and Still are upgrades from Davis. Khalil Mack got hurt in this game so I hope he’s ok. Joe Alt’s a beast, dissly is a more complete tight end than I thought at first. Gus Edward’s need to do something for us this season, I love the second half adjustments the chargers made each game this year.
