Another favorite of mine... this video was so much fun to make! Many people had heard this from Guitar Hero or sporting events previously, but had never sat down and really listened to it nor saw the video. Others had never heard of it at all. I didn't really notice anything new in the process of making this video, but as always, I got to know the song on an intimate level which always makes me appreciate it even more. It also brings back so many memories! I was 15-16 when this came out! I highly recommend: Massive Attack - Teardrop: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipOTfnZmn6upbK8 I hope you all are doing well!

I was 27 and had just moved to LA when this came out. Man, was it fitting. Between the earthquakes, the riots, and the whole transient nature of the city, I was happy to leave in ‘91. Thanks for doing a bang up job on this seminal work. 💖

I love Teardrop =- first heard it on house, but its a regular on my pandora station now. - Thanks for doing these compilations - they are so fun and I appreciate you showing all the effort you put in to making the video. Would love to get a timer on the making of part to get a feel for the hours you are putting into it.

@@JeffMartinEquinox Thank you so much! I did keep track on the Journey video I made and it turned out to take about 34 hours. They vary greatly. The Comfortably Numb video and the Peart drum solo were probably the two most time consuming. Also difficult because of my love and respect for the artists. Free Bird was probably up there with those two as well. lol It takes some time, for sure, but I quite enjoy the process even though parts of it are quite tedious. I just stay focused on the fact I will actually have something pretty cool to show for all the work. I'm still shocked how much others like them! Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment.

You guys nailed it as far as figuring out what this song is about. When axl rose got off the bus from Indiana as a small town county boy. He came to Los Angeles CA. A man on the street screamed at Axl." Welcome to the jungle baby! You gonna die!" In the big city your gonna get eaten alive by all the crime ,drugs, prostitution, gangs! All of it! The world is not all sunshine and rainbows. It's a cruel and nasty place! As quoted by Sylvester Stallone in Rocky Balboa.

When I was in High School, I worked at a radio station when this song came out. Most songs get airplay, become popular, sell records which works their way up the charts. This record came with instructions to play it, but don’t report it. So even though people were hearing it, it didn’t exist according to the charts. That way, once it was finally reported, it shot straight to the top of the charts much quicker than most other songs. This caused a lot of additional press, which exposed even more people to the band and drove sales even further. Also, it was a great album, but their release strategy certainly helped the popularity.

Some history for all you young people: Rock was dying when this came out. We had hair bands and it had all become boring and big joke. Then this band came out. It was still rock, but it was new and flavorful and raw and different. I think they only had really the one album. But they set the stage for grunge and various flavors of heavy metal that had been underground to that point. They also set the stage for a fork in the road where one led to alternative rock, which allowed for many, many female artists like Tori Amos and many others. Guns N Roses was definitely a turning point.

She literally planned the entire thing as if her whole life depended on it and gave us all the informations I could even think of : the reactors' names, original reaction video links, fair use disclaimer, and heck, even the band members, fun facts about the song, her own cover and the 'behind the scene' of the compilation? I love LFR Jo Jo. It’s so much fun to watch a young person loving the music I enjoyed soooo long ago.

I haven't been on here for a couple of days but as soon as I got here I had to check this out. As usual you don't disappoint with your compilation. The whole song here of course highlights the whole band Axel, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steve.

I saw them in concert when they opened for Aerosmith. Met some people with floor seats and managed to get on the floor and pushed our way all the way up to 4th row. AWESOME CONCERT!!!!

Well, I feel old once again, because I remember distinctly when this came out. It started off on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball, and then made it to mainstream MTV as its popularity exploded. This was the era of hair metal(e.g. Poison). Axel had big hair, but these guys really rocked and played their instruments hard, and that put a big dent in hair metal forever.

This was the song that pretty much launched G 'n R to fame. First song on the first album was absolutely one of their best songs. G 'n R if Axel didn't have his issues is a band I think could've lasted a long time.

Oh and fun fact, this GnR song in particular always triggers the memory of my sister screaming about Axl on a live show "You can see his junk!" Good times

God I remember when Guns n Roses first came on the scene and exploded in the LA Metal scene and changed it, brought the raw honest hard rock. They lived these songs. I'm still a fan after all these years
