7.11k Subs! Holy crap. Thank you to every single one of you and even those of you not subscribed but return viewers! Welcome to those of you who may be here for the first time! Yet another staple from my youth… I was 8 when this song came out and 10 when Randy Rhodes passed away. Like a few other notable deaths of some of my favorite musicians, I remember the day this happened vividly. I started listening to music heavily around 7 years old and I was very aware of Ozzy and Randy Rhodes. I remember there being initial concern that Ozzy was also dead. Many reactors knew this song from the sample taken in the rap song "Let's Go" by Trick Daddy and Lil' Jon, many had heard bits and pieces from sporting events, and some knew the song from Guitar Hero... but none had sat down and really listened to the song in depth. Some had never heard it at all. Something I noticed for the first time when making this video was the guitar at the end imitating a train horn! Fascinating! I highly recommend: Kaleo - Way Down We Go: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zl6aenuFjdCcjJo

Sigh….yes he was. Under-appreciated, I don’t know. You only have to hear his playing once to appreciate him forever. Little known might be better. He was taken from us right as he was hitting it big, like Richie Valens in that way. See any interview where Ozzy will talk about him (it’s rare as it’s always been painful for him). He always tells of this small kid that came in and just blew them all through the wall.

It sounds so badass because that's Randy Rhoads playing on the guitar. Rest in peace, died at a young age, at the height of his popularity. One of the quickest baddest most talented guitarist at the time and then suddenly gone. Never got to see but a few years of him. Randy roads rest in peace!
@twodeuces223 ай бұрын
The great thing about this song is it was his first single that started his solo career after being kicked out of Black Sabbath which makes it even more brilliant. Before this album Ozzy was not in a good place. At the time you thought he was gonna end up dead. You definitely didn't think he was going to put out one of the greatest albums ever. It turned the music world upside down and no one saw it coming. The perfect storm with him and Randy and it was awesome! If you watch the 'Under the Graveyard' video he put out in 2020.. it basically tells the story of what he was up to before Crazy Train.

One of my favorite things about your compilations is that the song itself is not interrupted, yet I still get to enjoy the reactors themselves. I also noticed you put in a new technique or two and slightly longer commentary from the reactors at the end. Then, you managed to put all your editing into the time-span of the jazz cover. This crazy life train: Randy Rhoads leaves Quiet Riot and then they become famous AFTER he leaves; Rhoads joins Ozzy to launch Ozzy's solo career; Rhoads' directly influences Dime Bag and Phil Anselmo, forever changing Pantera from a hair band with 5 failed albums into the Pantera we know and love today starting with Cowboys from Hell; Dime Bag also turned down Ozzy because they didn't have room for Vinnie; Nikki Six gets turned away from Ozzy in favor of Rhoads and then Nikki forms Motley Crue. How many other Metal legends were directly/indirectly affected by Randy Rhoades? RIP, brother!

I think the only time I looked or paid attention at Ozzy was when he was hugging or lifting Randy, Randy was a small guy. When Randy started playing I became fixated on him and his style of playing (his famous white polka dot Flying V) Never had I heard a sound like Randy had, I was 14 years old and now I’m a ripe 56 years old. I’ve seen hundreds of live shows all the top guitar players, but to date no one has made his guitar sing and give a story of its own. Taken away to soon. RIP RR.

Randy Rhoads last show Thursday March 18th 1982: Knoxville Tn The Knoxville Civic Coliseum: I saw Randy’s last show on Thursday March 18th, 1982. UFO was the opener and one of the greatest shows ever put on! John Allen (called Ronnie to make fun of Ronnie James Dio at the time was Black Sabbath’ replacement for Ozzy) handed out water and towels to Ozzy between songs and was later hung during Goodbye to Romance. At the end Ozzy was on a giant mechanical Hand throwing meat 🍖 🥩 into the audience! Got lucky my tour shirt was tucked into my jacket! CRIED LIKE A BABY the following morning when we all heard Randy was killed in a plane crash😢😢😢😭😭😭 THE MEMORIES LINGER TO THIS DAY! Hard to believe 40 years ago this past March! RIP RANDY YOU’LLNEVER BE FORGOTTEN!
