People were shitting on Bizkit? 👀 I’m over here enjoying it.
@William7786310 ай бұрын
I always liked Bizkit, but to be fair, towards the end of their mainstream run, they became a joke. Not because they weren’t good, they were, but imo it was because Durst just came across as a celebrity whore and it was hard to buy the anger that sold them in the first place from a guy that was Advertising driving a Lamborghini and hanging with Christina Aguilera(at the time,lol) If your whole deal is anti establishment and the first chance you get you go full establishment, your hardcore people will go wtf. Glad they are making a semi comeback because they were always a killer band musically

My son was a huge Limp Bizkit fan and frequently left his cd's in my car. I was driving home from work after a particularly rotten day in the office. I turned on some music to help me relax and this song was playing ... I turned the volume as high as it would go and I took the long way home. It was cathartic! I bought myself a copy of the cd the next day and this became my anthem after work. I eventually listened to the rest of the cd and loved it.

People love trashing LB for their short reign in the spotlight, but nobody can argue that they always have made and STILL make some killer tracks. Every album had at least two or three LEGENDARY tracks that are right at home in a workout or UFC playlist.

Back in the late 90s, I made a compilation CD that I called my Angry Mix. I would listen to it on my way home from a frustrating day at work. There were about a dozen songs on it like this and by the time I got home I could have a relaxing evening. If you like this one, you should check out Droppin' Plates by Disturbed.

Limp Bizkit for those who don't know were one of the bands in the late 90's - early 2000's in the genre known as "New Metal" which was a mix of both Metal and Rap music. I used to listen to New Metal when I was in my late teens watching both X-Games and WWE (Attitude era). I stopped listening to New Metal after I started listening to System of a down, Disturbed, Megadeth, Metallica, Pantera, Static-X, Queens of the Stone Age, Iron Maiden (+more).

This was before Em and Limp Bizkit had beef that involved Everlast and DJ Lethal. From what I remember Em wanted to collab with Lethal and Fred Durst when Everlast and Em were beefing around this time. The collab never happened. Em thought Lethal and Fred was cool but then saw an MTV interview with Limp and heard Fred that they were down with Everlast, hence Eminem fired back with with disstrack "Girls"
