Spain 2004 is the most memorable one and easily beats 90% of senior ESC winners. The song and the performance is oozing with character and confidence.

After Destiny showed up at ESC 2019 as the only backing vocalist for Malta, I'm 100% convinced that she's going to be an internal selection for Malta in the next 5 years. It's going to happen ya'll and idk if Europe is ready for her, but she's ready for them.

I like your opinions. Here's mine: 2018: Not too serious performance, but a likeable song. 2017: This is possibly the best overall performance in JESC history. Overall being singing, staging, dancing and set-up combined. 2016: When I first heard that, I said "Ladies and gentleman, the next Barbra Streisand." 2015: When I heard that, I said "Ladies and gentlemen, the next Aretha!" 2014: He reminds me of the adult male Italian singers. 2013: She just lets it out and will surprise everyone. 2012: I agree with you. This is too mature for JESC. 2011: That song reminds me of "Lady Marmelade." 2010: Full of energy. 2009: That's a song that's incredibly catchy. 2008: It's a number people love for its quirkiness. 2007: A lot of young energy. 2006: I'm not a fan at cutesy but these twins delivered like pros. 2005: Not my favorite but I can see how it's catchy. 2004: Surprising what that 9 year-old did that night. 2003: I agree the outfit's a dud. But this kid delivered like he knows how to perform and has no pressure.

I watched the very first junior ESC in 2003, I was 10yrs old at the time. Fell completely in love with Dino, the winner from Croatia! My absolute childhood crush haha, and I recommend listening to the full song, it was really great. I also totally crushed on the punk boy band from Belgium 2003 and the guys from Norway 2003 haha, remember it like it was yesterday 😂 I was obsessed with junior ESC for 3 years, but sadly I stopped watching in 2006 because the UK no longer participated after that and therefore, I'm not sure if it was broadcast in the UK. Or at least, it was difficult to catch it on the channels we had. It holds a fond place in my memory though 😆

Bec Omg yes Dino and Xink! Unfortunately sweden stopped participating after 2014 and before that I remember it being confusing because SVT didn’t host it for a period of time and TV4 did. JESC isn’t what it used to be but still so much fun to watch and follow :))

You should seriously see the full performances of the winners in 2018 and 2017. The production quality can rival "adult Eurovision". Oh and the video plus lyrics of 2017 are really awesome.

You could say that 2012 was the year that JESC tilted to a different direction. There's such a contrasting difference between the songs from 2003 to 2011, and those from 2012 onwards.

So many of these years, the best songs didn’t win because the juries like to vote for whoever screams the most

LOL true but imo Russia 2018 deserved it
@mirroroffthewall59325 жыл бұрын
Srdjan Gavrilović Sorry, I don’t agree. Her voice sounds really strained. Italy 2014 had some issues too. I think Mariam from 2016 had great vocal control but there were better songs that year. I wish adult juries weren’t in JESC.
