Fear Factory probably is the most underrated band along with Type-O-Negative. That's just my opinion but thank you for this reaction. I need some Fear Factory tattoos... There is a fear factory in this division! Underrated album!

The album that introduced me to Fear Factory. Got it for their cover of Cars by Gary Numan who actually sings in the cover. Fell in love with the album. Obsolete is a concept album so the songs kind of run into each other, but they do a good job of making each song listenable on their own. The insert on the limited edition CD was like a mini book with a story that went along with the songs.

Yesss. Fear Factory old skool jam. They added the machine gun sound to the metal scene in the 90's. it was very impressive at the time. Only thing that I still find off, are the clean vocals. And I didn't know you reacted to FF before. To the batmobile!

I discovered Fear Factory with their debut album Demanofacture in 1995. When I bought G/Z/R's (Black Sabath's bass player Geezer Butler) Plastic Planet I was thrilled to find out that Burton C. Bell is the vocalist on this album. I don't know exactly why I lost interest in the band after Obsolete. Maybe because I became a mom (yes, don't trust nicknames 😄). Btw i loved your Top Gear reference 😍. As an older metalhead i think it's great when you guys react to a song I loved in my late 20's.

A minor correction, if that's ok, but Fear Factory's debut album was actually Soul of a New Machine in 1992. It's quality is a little rough, but it clearly sets the tone for their future albums. ✌
