I was 17 and going to my first concert, a Rob Zombie concert back in '99 for Halloween in Maine of all places. HellBilly Deluxe tour so of course Zombie put on a great show as always but the part I didn't expect, the band I never heard of till then called Fear Factory opening the entire show was just mind blowing. I immediately left the concert and to the nearest not WalMart store that sold CD's and bought everything they had available. You think they are amazing through headphones, I was front row in the pit down face to face with them now that was just life changing and an experience I'll never forget.

Fear Factory were always one of those bands that was really top tier in terms of opening tracks on their albums. Demanufacture (the song) or Self Bias Resistor should be your next one, but you really can’t go wrong.

Obsolete is an amazing piece of art! Fear Factory is just pure and raw! "Freedom or Fire" is another banger from this album. But beware, you might wanna get your flags and torches cause that's the perfect soundtrackfor a riot! ^^ I also recommend the "demanufacture" album. Fear Factory was one of the bands baby WO (me) cut his teeth on when first getting into metal, so I always forget that so many people haven't listened to them. I always say they're 'the only American Industrial Metal Band' but I'm sure that's not true. Either way I love these reactions. On another note, I always feel like I'm behind in new music and never have anything to suggest for you two. If you haven't reacted to them yet, maybe check out Mire Lore. I think "Marrow Leech" is an amazing feat of musical talent (especially when it came out), but "Ashen Memories" might be an easier entry point.

saw this song live in 1999, i remember being deaf for about 3 days after xD. this album, and their first two albums "soul of a new machine" and "demanufacture" were my gateway into metal. "soul of a new machine" is def a heavier, more raw death experience; and "demanufacture" was really the full birth of their sound. "body hammer" and "flashpoint" are two good ones from demanufacture. "martyr", "scumgrief", and "scapegoat" are great choices from soul of a new machine
