As a fan of both groups, I wouldn't say one is better than the other as much as they choose different songs. Voiceplay's Moana Medley is really good.

Agreed! I'm also a fan of both groups. Yes! Check out the Moana Medley. 'I knew you where trouble' Is also worth checking out. (Both were Voiceplay with Rachel Potter)

VoicePlay is good in a different way. I love their Road trip, Daddy Sang Bass, Queen in 5 mins, ACA top 10 Bro Country, Grim Grinning Ghosts, Whats This, Phantom of the Opera, Wookie for Christmas... All of the ACA top 10's are good. LOL They have a lot of Disney stuff. I saw them live in Jan, and had a blast. This was a fun one and they had this put together in case they were in the bottom together in The Sing Off. Thank you! ^_^

All of the members in VP worked at Disney World so they do a lot of Disney. I’m waiting for you to review their take on some Nightmare Before Christmas. Also Panic at the Disco, Queen and some of their Acca Top Ten videos.

I love Voiceplay! I think the girl was added for the Sing Off, but later was dropped. They're fun and their arrangements are good and they have great talent. I just am not a huge fan of their high tenor's voice...it has a little "helium" sound to it which I find a little unpleasant. And as much as I love their beatboxer's sound effects and humor I think Adam for HF is a much stronger and crisper beatboxer. But VP is definitely one of the best out there and they're my second fave (behind HF of course). VP's new stuff is REALLY good since they added J None. Check out KISS...it's spot-on-perfect!

Just wanted to give a warning on another artist to stick over on Patreon. I know VP has a Prince song that actually got hit by his estate when it first came out. I don’t think any reactors were ever hit, but I thought I would give you fair warning. Info about this song. VP and HF both arranged this separately for the Sing-off as this was the “battle song” for one of the early weeks. As neither group was in the bottom two that week, this song didn’t make the show for either group. VP figured this would be a good song to collab with another group (coincidentally the winners of the show), so after taping for the show was done both groups filmed this (in two separate locations) with Layne traveling between the two to film.

Both of these groups were on season 4 of The Sing-Off. Check out the videos you can find on KZbin. I know that Home Free has the option of including the judges' comments. I don't know about Voice Play's.

I don't think either is really better persay, but Home Free does a lot of music that my grandparents used to sing, so it's like coming home. If any of the others ever did something really close to my heart like that I'd probably feel the same with them. So far, none of the other acapella groups have a song that's done that for me, but they do have a few that I think are super cool. I LOVE Avi Kaplan's new stuff, and think Geoff is an amazing arranger.

It's a matter of taste. VoicePlay puts more drama into many of their songs. They cover different gentres from Home Free or PTX so it's down to which you prefer.

Personally I think all 3 groups are great in different ways. I'm a country fan so of course HF is top of my list but if I want something more theatrical I watch VP. If I listen to PTX it's usually for a particular song since they do more popular stuff that I don't particularly find my cup of tea. But all 3 are great at A Capella no doubt.

Great reaction, but aren't they all?!? I actually didn't know this was out there. Cool video. Who was better? Both groups did great. I don't want to choose sides either. Looking at older stuff, it seems Home Free started a little better than Voiceplay , but it seems that Voiceplay has grown so much since The competition. I believe they now excel in the tenor, bass, and beatboxing. If nothing else, Geoff has gotten a better range and power in the past few years.
