We did at my schools in UK in 70s to 80s. I showed my music teacher my beat box and mc skills aged 13 in 1985, and I got detention for Explicit Content, as I was rapping Schooly Ds first album track "I don't like rock n roll". lmao. 😅😅
@CountryBoy18774 ай бұрын
I did but all I learned was that 90% percent of rap was trash and about doing crime, rock ain't bad if it's old school and County is still the greatest music ever, this was when I was 12 and it holds true today
@didgerb724 ай бұрын
@CountryBoy1877 I was never a country fan as a Brit. But as I've aged I know all music is story telling. Most true Rap mcs don't glorify the lifestyle, they telling story of how they escaped. It's the music moguls that tell the mcs to Rap about the guns drugs and bling. I know many started out rapping about all that, but that was their life, but my fav mcs rapped about breaking free from the life, and other ways to live. But as a hip hop head since pre 79 rappers delight. I do agree there is way too much violence. Music makes money, and bling drugs violence makes big money for record industry. Disgraceful.

As a black (African) woman who has adult children, I'm so happy and proud of you young men for sharing your video. It shows that you are open minded enough to listen to music others wouldn't have thought you would. I love how you respect it and even bop your heads to the "beat". Music comes from God. No matter your gender or ethnicity, when you hear good music, one will acknowledge it with a sway and bopping of the head. When you share your openness to accept and acknowledge other's culture and traditions, you help pave the way towards mankind's peace and understanding of each other's differences. While some cause divisions in our world, please continue to sow knowledge, peace and love amongst mankind. God bless you and your households. ❤🙏😇🖖❤

_Used to be_ a cappella. These days, probably 20% of their songs are instrumentally accompanied in some way. Most of the time they're up front about it, but sometimes they hide the instrumentation so that you really have to listen for it. For example, pay close attention to the choruses on End of the Road, and you'll hear an organ pad.

That's not the beatboxer making that noise, it's the other guy named Adam (Chance). He's the one with the medium brown hat, pink shirt and dark brown vest, and you can see him doing it toward the end of the video. Accapella means music and singing without instruments It may not be traditional accapella which is mostly harmonies. But it 100% fits the definition

For a capella check out Peter Hollens. Some he does solo. Some duet. Some with larger groups. Start with Loch Lomon.

I have the soundtrack to O Brother Where Art Thou. Love bluegrass and blues so the track is awesome. I had Angel's Wings played at my dad's funeral. He used 2 sing it beautifully when he was alive. We were country folk and we are proud of it

This song was originally published by Dick Burnett-a partially blind fiddler from Kentucky- It was originally titled Farewell Song.n It was first recorded in 1928 by Emry Arthur. It is considered American folk music (bluegrass). Most people who listen to Bluegrass know it when it was recorded by the Stanley Brothers (one of the best bluegrass bands with Ralph Stanley-also one of the most notable bluegrass singers) in the 50's. It became well known when it was featured in the film "Oh brother, Where art thou" as sung by the Soggy Bottm Boys.

You guys are heroes. Without you , many in these recent generations would never know another world exists. The 60s and 70s were a renaissance, not only of music, but art, science, philosophy, spirituality. These newer generations, by and large, have no idea what came before, because nobody has ever told them, and i deeply respect you all bringing it to light. Incedentally, if you have not seen the movie, Oh, brother, where art thou, you really owe it to yourselves to check it out. In my opinion it is one of the best movies ever made. Love you guys. You are great, but like all great people, will only be honored in history.

If you heard this through even earbuds, you would really be blown away. These guys are next level good. Adam Rupp is a world-class beatboxer. Their bass Tim Foust has a range from sub-woofer bass to a very respectable tenor. This song was originally written in the 1920's and used in the George Clooney movie Oh Brother Where Art Thou with the Soggy Bottom Boys singing. Recommend next their cover of R&B End of the Road by Boyz ll Men. This'll make you a fan (Home Fry) for sure!

You can literally check out anything in Home Free's list and enjoy it, but you have to hear their version of "When A Man Loves A Woman"...next level! Thanks for reacting, guys!

Yes ! We need more Homefree. Love their version of Boyz to men’s “End of the Road “ and Justin Timberlake “ Can’t Stop the Feeling “. Their version of “When a man loves a woman “ is fire. You guys will love their “ Butts remix “. Note their fans are called Home fries and they are very loyal. If they see you watching your subs will double. Welcome to the rabbit hole. They cover every genre and they even have their originals

You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney. Some of my favorites are "Take Me Home Country Roads", "In The Blood", "Ring Of Fire", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "How Great Thou Art", "Elvira", "Hillbilly Bone", "American Pie", "Brother In Arms", "One Man Band", "Listen To The Music", "Sea Shanty Medley" etc.

I am so glad to see you guys finally react to Home Free. PLEASE go down this rabbit hole, you won't be sorry you did and i would love to come along for the ride. You have gotten a lot of good suggestions and i agree with them all. You can pick any song from their massive catalog and won't be disappointed. I would like to add "Can't Stop The Feeling" and "Everybody Walking This Land" as a couple. The talents shines in the first one and the 2nd will tell you who these guys really are. They lost a lot of subs because of Everybody Walking This Land. But they are true to themselves and how they feel. If you watch that one please watch the commentary at the end. I love watching you guys and you are the only reactors i have ever subbed to that wasn't because of Home Free. The home fries will love you too.

I second this as well. "Everybody Walkin' This Land" is brilliant! I would throw in "Sea Shanty" as well, my least favorite video but definitely one of their best works vocally.

Thank you SO much fellas for checking out this song from Home Free that I suggested. I knew their uniqueness would blow y'all away! I have not watched any other Home Free videos because I've been waiting for your reactions so I can react with you. I'm a fellow southerner from Louisiana, and you are my favorite KZbin channel. Also, I made a suggestion for Teddy Swims: I Can't Make You Love Me If You Don't. My final recommendation is: Lane Boy by Twenty One Pilots. I know y'all didn't enjoy Car Radio. It was the wrong song choice as a first time listen. Please check out my recommendations when you can. Thanks!
