Yes, it makes most of us cry. And yet one of the things that makes this so special is the joy in Austin's voice. Michael Bolton to me always sounded like he hated being in love and resented all the things that come along with it. Austin and his lady were (and still are) so crazy about each other that the joyfulness just pours out in his voice. Loved your reaction.

This performance made ME cry! Percy Sledge came out with this song in 1966, the year I graduated from high school. This is, by far, the best, heartfelt cover I've heard since then. Thank you for your unbridled reaction!

Cry all you want! This song is emotional because Austin is truly believing the words and he's feeling it in his soul. So gorgeous! I'm with you on the lyrics, btw! I never truly paid attention to them before either and I find that's one of the reasons I love Home Free's renditions so much, because I can hear the words I can feel it in my heart without putting my mind in the way.

I've seen/ heard this video numerous times, as well as most of their catalog, Austin seems to have the lead most of the time. They all can sing equally as well, but favorite of the group is, Adam "the Human Drum Kit" Rupp. Great video, as always, have a better day than yesterday.

"I Swear" they did as a parody....down to even to filming it in Standard Definition....you're going to love the humor they put into it, BUT TRUST ME, it sounds so great those harmonies are ridiculous even when they are trying to be funny....it's their trubute to 1990's cheesy romantic music videos...be ready to smile and have fun !!!

From what I've read, Percy Sledge (who recorded the song originally) along with some of his bandmates, wrote this song right after a pretty bad breakup. That's why the lyrics are kind of sad. Still a beautiful song.

There is no denying that Austin (and the rest of the guys) have amazing voices, and Austin does a great job covering this song, but IMO, he's missing the feeling and emotion that Percy Sledge sang it with. The emotion, to me, is what makes a song/singer great.
