And Jinjer are badass, I love how confident they are in they work (and how they do have all the reasons to be). The message in the video is very specific and strong but would be probably understood right away by only relatively small percent of people who watch the video - mostly Ukrainian fans and haters and some hardcore fans who pay attention to the interviews and do research, but for majority of people it's really something easy to misinterpret. But they still release this video "worldwide" because that's what they had to say and express and it's so cool to see people actually care enough to search a bit and see what it's really about.

yeah they are turning the tables. Ironically people with asshats for an audience don't even get hurt by stuff like this though. Still love the song though.

So great to see people taking time to research the story about the video (I even made a YT video with that background because the video is so powerful but I was afraid people would miss it or misinterpret it). I mean it's probably not necessary to enjoy the song but the message in the video is huge. The full interview was almost 2 hours long and it's really terrible and painful to watch. The idea was that Jinjer are kinda "traitors" and "enemy's agents" and all that political stuff. Usually Tatiana speaks Russian but here she spoke Ukrainian and that bit with passport in the beginning is actually huge, it's like "They don't get to make you any less Ukrainian simply because you don't match their expectations and don't say what they like to hear".

Jinjer one of my favorite bends and defenetely a band that I am proud for as a Ukrainian) And I want to introduce to you one more Ukrainian band I'm also proud for - The Hardkiss) "The Hardkiss "Helpless". Евровидение-2016. Финал" - my favorite performance from them and one of favorites at all. This song is in english but most of their staff is in ukrainian. I bet you will be amaized) P.S. I can suggest a lot more interesting ukrainian bends for different music tastes but most of their staff is also in ukrainian: Motanka, DETACH, Karna, Антитіла, Один в каное, Бумбокс.

for your better understanding: > many thanx and lovely greetings from germany > belated happy birthday What have the artists said about the song? Tati Shmailyuk: Me and Eugene did an interview with a guy who used to work for Ukrainian television, and now he has his KZbin channel. He turned every question into a political topic. And of course, in Ukraine, this is a very painful situation. I was so angry and pissed off with this dude because he asked so many provocative questions. It showed us in a very bad light, but that’s what he wanted. For three days after, I was carrying this heavy emotion in my heart. That’s why I did this song with the exclamatory, like ‘teacher, teacher!’ because it makes it more intense.

Thank you Deadgirl! I love Disclosure! Always love Jinjer and your reactions! Things I read about this video: 1. It definitely refers to media and state narratives pushed, and it's about a particular interviewer that tried to paint Jinjer as unpatriotic ("disclosing" Jinjer as unpatriotic). 2. The Russian and Ukrainian slang for police is "trash", so they take him (policeman representing the interviewer, played by Dmitry Oksen former Jinjer guitarist turned actor) to the dump. 3. It's really important when Tatiana shows her Ukrainian passport, like the band is saying to critics who call them unpatriotic, "yes, we're still Ukrainian even though we disagree about some things". I'm with Jinjer: I think it's pretty horrifying that the US helped a Ukrainian neonazi militia to be incorporated into the Ukrainian military (see Moderate Rebels on KZbin), our fascism begets fascism worldwide (see Killing Hope by William Blum - CIA and US Military Interventions since WWII). There's a lot more detail about this Jinjer video in a great video by MetalGearShady: "Jinjer Disclosure! official video context / song background analysis / overview" kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHzGmaWZp8ScmNU Thank you always for bringing more of the fantastic music of Jinjer to more people! ❤🖤🤘

I don't claim to know everything, but I know that my country, with its nine hundred military bases around the world (a military dictatorship), has a very long standing habit of installing fascist puppet regimes everywhere else in the world that it possibly can (because that's more profitable for the billionaires: fascists attack labor movements, that's how Hitler got started being paid to run violent strike breakers), which it seems to me is tantamount to being the largest promoter of fascism in the world, and that's all I'm trying to point out here. I'm not claiming that today's capitalist Russia is blameless.
