Great reaction, thank you. Another proud Aussie here who saw this live. For the record, we pronounce Kate’s last name phonetically as Seb-er-ano. I was privileged to work with all three of these amazing artists at times during my career in Australian tv production and each of them were just an absolute joy to work with. Happy Easter everyone x

Great reaction. I love your understanding of this play show. This featured the stars from the 1992 edition, featuring Kate Cerebrano (pronounced Sir-braa-no), Jon Stevens and John Farnham. The cast of this show expanded even more to include the likes of Russell Morris (who sang the song, The real thing), and Angry Anderson who is the lead singer of the band Rose Tattoo. By the way Jon Stevens also was a lead singer of band called Noiseworks before he replaced Michael in INXS after his passing. He is great live as you can see here. He is still touring Australia ❤ Australia also did a version of this screen play a year after it was released originally in America in 1971. Our 1972 version featured Jon English as Judus (actor and singer) Trevor White as Jesus, Michelle Fawdon as Mary initially, but then this was played by a very young star who had come to Australia from America when she was just 16, Marcia Hines. She stayed in Oz for ever more (the first role she had was in the screen play of Hair) ❤ This production in 1972 also featured so many other well known artists like Stevie Wright RIP, lead singer of the Easybeats as Simon Zealotes, Doug Parkinson RIP as King Herod in 1973-74, and John Paul Young as Annas. Such a huge line up.

Yes nice one Kazz.. and of course more recently a version in 1992 with the brilliant Ben Forster as Jesus, and Tim Minchin and Judas. Forster absolutely kills it in Gethsemane especially the second half of the song.

Hi @Dr_KAP ... The version you mention with Ben Forster and Tim Minchin, is that from 2012 with Melanie C as Mary? If so, I've done a reaction to "I Don't Know How To Love Him" by Mel from this performance a while back. Thanks and keep rockin' ...

It makes such a difference that you know the show, and can apply context when you're watching/ hearing the songs. I love your deep dive into what you're watching and reacting to, the way you immerse yourself into the experience. I'll echo a few other comments and say it's a shame that you didn't watch to the end, and thus missed out on the entire ensemble doing an impromptu a capella performance of Amazing Grace, which is their warm up song. So it might be something you'd like to watch in your own time.❤

This performance reminds me of when I worked with a United Methodist Church in the 1980's and 90's. The Youth Director rented a 16 mm film of "Jesus Christ Superstar" to show to his teen youth group. I took the church's projector, screen and the film home and showed it to my wife and daughter in our living room. What a big screen experience before every home had a big screen television! My wife and I sang along with several songs; our 14 year old daughter thought we were crazy!

I believe it was the first production in Victoria, Australia. Your reaction and expectations were great. Thank you so much. I will look up the 2 utube channels you suggested. I am a senior 77 years of age. You nailed it when you said many of us would watch Hey Hey it's Saturday before we went out to get us hyped to go out. I usually follow reactors from some other countries. I didn't follow utube until 2021 only because I'm a BTS Army. 🎉😊

7:50 Jon took over as lead vocal in INXS when Michael Hutchence died, or supposedly died. I have him on the Federal Witness Protection Program list, like Elvis, John Denver, and even Steve Irwin - as alive and will be making an appearance when the global EBS happens in May/June (I believe). Like Robin Williams, he is alive too, and both supposedly died the same way and touted as suicide when it wasn't.

@dee-smart4 күн бұрын
@@DonnaGlass-f4x Yeah unless you have been doing research these past few years or past decades you don't know what is going on at the moment. We have been in a massive war with the cabal. Too difficult to go into and it is horrendous, however you will know about it soon. The truth community have been waiting years with promises of disclosures left, right and centre to the general public who haven't awoken, but it is a tricky situation as the white hats (good guys) do not want civil wars in every country and people going beserk. They have to SLOWLY bring out disclosures, like right now it is all about P Diddy waking up the public about Epstein Island and Hollywood's part in everything. I think personally the American election coming up will bring out a lot of info beforehand. I don't think they will go all the way telling people everything because they just wouldn't be able to take it.

Hey Todd, you cut the performance short. If you kept the video going the whole cast did a short version of Amazing Grace which is fantastic. Otherwise great reaction!!

Actually, he did watch all the way to the end of this video, it's just that there's more than one upload of this, and he clicked on one that didn't happen to have the bonus at the end. It happens a lot, so it can be helpful for requesters to point out the specific video to react to so that we don't get a reaction to the wrong performance or the wrong upload of the right performance, etc.
