South Louisiana if full of talent and I personally know many extremely talented and gifted people who can run circles around artists who are superstars. They give it a few years and just give up then come home to their local scene. It’s all about being in the right place at the right time. Unfortunately most great artists get looked over. It baffles me to see some stars who really aren’t that talented. Luke Combs is one of the anomalies who doesn’t have the “looks” most labels like. I think that’s why he’s so popular... Just your average good ole boy with talent so everyone can relate to him. Great for him and glad someone gave him a chance! 👍🏻👍🏻 Chris Stapleton made a living writing hits for others who couldn’t hold his jock vocally. Once they let him record a song this rest is history!

I live not hardly two hours away from Nashville and some boys I grew up with and graduated high school with in May of 2000 and they are still to this day playing in clubs. One gig to the other and sending their music out trying to get a label and they are not failing from lack of talent in my opinion so yea I think it is hard to come up in a music career with all the talent here even for ones who live in Nashville's backyard. And thanks for the shout out to us in TN. That really made my night.

I dont live in Nashville but I watch lots of interviews. There's a singer named Kelsey Ballerini that said she walked in to a record label with a pink glitter guitar case and they didn't even let her sing. They said they had enough girls like her. She came back with her own style and made it. So yes I think it is hard. You gotta have something that stands out. Luke has that.

To answer your question. I lived in nashville tn my whole life and a 13 year musician. There are so many great musicians here and so much talent to a point it's really hard to get recognized because someone is always determined to go beyond anything else and rise so it makes you better as a musician to take them extra steps as well. I know so many people here that should be on the radio. Nashville is more of building yourself as a musician and overcoming the struggles in the music industry and recording but honestly very hard to make it in nashville with so much great talent.
