I love your reaction to Marc Martel, been following him for a while! he is AWESOME!! don't you agree? an incredible guy and performer, Freddie must have passed on voice to Marc after sadly parting from our world,
@marlahudgins70385 жыл бұрын
Marc is incredible.. i believe that the real high notes were The drummer, Roger Taylor
@odonovan5 жыл бұрын
Indeed they were. In a lot of Queen studio recordings, Roger would hit the high notes for Freddie. In concert, they were usually on a backing track if Freddie wasn't going to avoid them altogether.
@MegazoneMusic235 жыл бұрын
True 1. Roger Taylor, the drummer, is the one that hit the high notes 2. Marc isnt classically trained. His Mum taught him and she was a church pianist 3.Marc Taught himself to sing by imitating singers that he thought he could learn from

Hey ,hello ,first time here ,subscribed and liked.I am a guitarist ,playing ,touring ,recording and my daughter told me about Marc ,bc she grew up in a Queen house.I have been obsessed with Freddie since the late 70s ,so I soak all the Marc ,I can get my hands on.I love the smile on your face ,the expressions of disbelief..... Exactly my reaction.I was waiting for that one note ,or flaw ,but it never came. Just a phenomenal voice and frontman for Queen. As if Freddie came down from heaven and touched Marcs throat ,blessed him to carry his legacy.

He will sing the songs in the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody". This was sent to Queen for the movie, and Marc got the singing voice part. You said Marc doesn't have the high range, but in other Queen songs he does.

Marc's voice was used for the movie that was just out. Freddie's singing voice in the film was a combination of old recordings of Freddie, Marc's voice and Rami Malek the actor. You should check out more of Marc's Queen videos on his KZbin channel.
@odonovan5 жыл бұрын
thegorn68, it's already been disproven that Rami's voice was used at all, for the singing parts of the movie. He had to sing so the audience would see his neck muscles moving and know he wasn't just mouthing the words but his vocals were not used. It was all Freddie and Marc.
@kevinzhang33135 жыл бұрын
@@odonovan Not sure where you're getting your facts, but Rami Malek sang as least one or a few parts. He wasn't comfortable with singing, but the director said he did a few parts.

Marc never had a vocal coach...natural born singer like Freddie.
@kevinzhang33135 жыл бұрын
To be honest, a good ear and observation is all it takes. But not everyone is as perceptive, and you can't blame them. That's not the only thing that makes great singers what they are - it's willingness, and not giving up, and constantly progressing...they are all natural born singers.

@emelianemone7775 жыл бұрын
haven't even watched yr reaction yet, but i can already tell you that you will freakin' be impressed, if nothing else. marc is a top notch musician & vocalist, whether attempting to bring queen's music back to life as authentically as possible, or singing in another style all together. his cover of whitney houston/dolly parton's i will always love you (acoustic, one take solo cover also), is a particular favorite of mine. if you can find the time to react to it i would greatly appreciate it. all of his own original songs, covers of various artists, & of course, queen covers are just insanely good. he's one of my favorite musicians, honestly. i'm super excited to be going to see him in july! i believe him & his queen tribute band are touring worldwide this whole year essentially. check it out if yr interested! :) LINK TO WHITNEY/DOLLY COVER: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqCqn5mMbsprrpI EDIT: if yr referring to the high notes in the middle of the song where there would normally be back & forth vocals, that's because it's actually may or taylor who sang the highest notes at that climax, not freddie. marc can only sing so many parts at once! ;) he can hit the high notes, i promise.

He intentionally sang the lower notes which Freddy used to; it was Roger who sang the higher falsetto notes in Bohemian Rhapsody. He's been singing it for a long time. Check him out singing a song called 'How Many Kings' with Downhere. His falsetto is definitely pretty high ranged. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZq2mqmHot99ldk

Just 'cause he didn't do the high note in the "For me!" part doesn't mean he can't hit that high. He's obviously got great range and I think it's good that he didn't do that high note 'cause it's not really sung by Freddie (but it's fine 'cause I just sing along with him and I try to do that note myself, failing miserably though). But this was an unbelievably stunning performance.

Freddie did not sing the super high range notes in Bohemian Rhapsody. The drummer sang those notes. If you listen carefully you will hear Freddie sings the deeper notes that Marc sang.

I can’t think of a situation like this where sooooo many fans of a group (Queen) are begging them to fire their current lead singer (Lambert) and replace them with someone else (Martel) who is clearly levels above the existing guy.
