I’ve got to give an honest opinion. Linkin Park is, or was one of my favorite bands and Given up is my favorite song by them. It’s easy to talk about the top tier musicians playing a cover. However, what I excites me is Mayu’s ability to mimic Chester! That is not an easy task! Some viewers switch videos when they hear Mayu scream, because they are not a fan of screaming. OK, no problem. Unfortunately, they are missing one of the greatest vocalists in the world with her cleans, and ability to switch up without loosing a note. All hail Mayu!!! 👍👍👍👍. ❤️🌸

Tbh we're not on the same page. I didn't think she sounded anything like Chester, and a lot like herself. But she made that work in the song and held all the notes to their full extent. /Andrei

MAYBE your ready for Nemo's best cover X JAPAN - KURENAI. Singer (Mayu) cant speak English but sings this (Japanese written/sung song) in English like a champ!! Before she joined Nemophila drummer (Tamu) drummed this song solo in front of Kurenai composer (Yoshiki) who is also X-Japan's drummer and blew him away!

A new dimension to playing the keys 👏. How awesome to think of it to bring the clapping and keying live. Also, the extra punch in the outro was beautiful. I got to give it to the Chester though for the vocals. And kudos to the video edit. The 17 second wow-meter was fun.

That's the jackpot question. How do you stay true and respectful to an original that is so huge and iconic, and still be able to put your own style on it? Many fail at this task and can take Nemophila as an example (not only for this song, but for many of their covers). Actually, it was Nemophila that lead me to Linkin Park. I was never into them when they were huge. Now I fully appreciate how good they were and listen to them quite regularly. Great reaction again guys. Brought the funny again. Thought Mayu did a great job on vocals considering she doesn't speak English. And she nailed the scream in her own inimitable Mayu way
