Ren raised 20k around the release of this song, for the coastguard charity who sesrched for Joe. He also donated the profits from his first album, Freckled Angels, from that period to Joe's parents. Freckled Angel was a song he wrote for Joe's memorial. He used part of it at the end of For Joe to tie his first goodbye in with Joe he feels now, 13 years later.

Ren has said that Joe's death is a big reason why he didn't end things when his illness was at it's worst. He saw the aftermath of someone doing that and felt the loss of the family and friends. In a way, that makes Joe a part of Ren's success because he helped Ren hold on until he found a way to have a future. It's a beautiful tribute to a lost loved one, and it makes Joe real to so many, keeping his memory alive when so many get lost.

This song is kind of a mashup of a couple of songs. The beginning comes from the end of his song Su!cide, the middle part was new, but kind of references the song Dominoes, and the last part comes from the song Freckled Angels. It's a beautiful tribute to his friend, but it's definitely a tough listen.

As a 31-year survivor, the memories, the melancholy feelings always feel fresh but when sharing, talking about it, and continuing to learn about the grieving process including self-grieving, this is a healthy option of coping in our pace.

Ren did say the same thing about feeling numb in a series he did on his channel... he said that he lost more friends after Joe but found it hard to feel anything when hearing the news, because he was still so numb and drained from losing Joe. It definitely takes its toll on our body and mind. Even years later the fight is hard. I hope everyone is healing and feels they can reach out to someone nearby and get the support they need if they are ever dealing with grief or thoughts of taking your own life. ❤️

'Suicide' referenced the fibonnaci sequence. This was Ren's eulogy to his best friend Joe and to the family.

Good job guys 👍❤. Have you seen Ren's autobiographical readings on his RenMakesStuff channel? If not, check it out (IMHO it's nothing to react to). In chapter one he talks about Joe's end. Even if you thought you understood Ren's songs beforehand, after listening to the chapters you will understand them even better and they become more intense.

can I just send you al hugs and say I am so sorry that you have gone through the trauma 3 times already, and look, I am 56, and suicide does not surround my life simply because I grew up in a time when it was still culturally taboo and rare. I know things have changed immeasurably and today we sadly live in a time when suicide, especially for men 14-44 but none of us should become numb to it. What you said at the end, if anyone ever feels that alone, scared, lost, helpless or hopeless, reach out to someone. Anyone.

Not sure if you guys have seen #renmakesmusic latest post but he is dropping a new music video next Thursday and is specifically asking reactors to help blow it up. It is in respone to the who Kugo thing that resulted in him losing all rights to his title track Sick Boi. have you guys reacted to CHRIS WEBBY and Rens new track it is really good and knox hill and samuel tompkins also dropped new music. It's been a few days or so i am sure of it but feel better
