Saba and her likewise talented twin sister Andrea were both adopted from Ethiopia by a Danish family when they were small children. Denmark usually send something unusual out of the box, like last year which a was K-pop artist hugely popular in Asia, that just was way too modern for a highly old-fashioned Eurovision style, or like the Viking Higher Ground from 2018, that the Eurovision jury absolutely hated but was getting a high score by the European tele-voters. This year it ticks all the most woke Eurovision boxes by being all inclusive with a black (but highly European looking) girl who is promoting LGBT+ and the song being a Scandinavian pop tune written by a pop hit maker from Sweden. So no, this is very far from typically Denmark.
