She is so pretty! This song is catchy and those stunts are awesome! Everyone is talking about the flip, which they should, but I also really liked the part where she used the guys like a staircase and ended with that lift spin thingy. Her breath support during this is really impressive! I also liked the little gasp at the end of the really big note and I hope she keeps it in!

It’s funny to come back here with hindsight knowledge. You were like, “I can see the potential in this, but they should change this and this, and the song could use a revamp”, and they literally went out and did everything you guys suggested. I am so impressed with how Malta has maximised their potential, and how well Sarah is doing: every performance was better than the last one. Of course they will never completely shake off the slomo comparison, but I think they have made enough changes to make it their own thing. Long story short: we need this in the final, vote! 🇲🇹❤️

I have high hopes of a Malta Q this year. Personally I would have loved to see Venom get the ticket but I also wasn't ready for people to try and make Destiny comparisons. Give Sarah a cute bodysuit and revamp the chorus and she can do well in a televote, juries would also give this something. Let's remember how almost everybody wrote off Poland last year, and then they spruced it up as much as they could and she came 3rd in the semi and 8th in the final televote.

the side by sides with Chanel / Noa are pretty damning with respect to comparisons. I think she has the talent and if they tweak / rework the choreography to be less "the same" it will do well. The flip is the moment tho!

I have not seen this performance yet, but I do see the similarities to Chanel. However I wonder how much it will affect the voting outside the fandom. I think last year showed that most people are watching it the night of and picking up the phones for what they see and like first. At least that’s my theory for a lot of the results last year (like Austria and France placing low and Poland doing so well).

A take I have (idk if its hot or cold tbh) is that we really didn't need as many ballads in here as we got. We could have dropped one of them for other actss, like Miguell Bonello for instance. Idk, Loop is a fine song, and Sarah sells it well, its probably gonna end up middle of my top, just because this just isn't my type of music (I'm a rocker girl by heart). I love your reactions so much btw, and you're both really pretty❤

I've got Czechia's Pedestal as my #1 so far. I know there are a few more to come v soon. This one isn't in my Top 5 at the moment. The one thing that puts me off is the same rhythm that is used by a lot of Spanish influenced song. That generic beat that Despacito had. I'm sure Malta will qualify.

I didn’t watch the final because I was convinced Karma was going to win. Wanted loop from the start but the poll had them not winning, so I lost faith. Soo glad it won. There’s a lot going on here and has a lot potential. I’m confident of this qualifying from semi final 2.

Chanel finished 3rd at Eurovision and quickly became a big icon within the fandom. Without a few changes, comparisons will be unavoidable, and may hurt her in both semis & the final.

this may be a hot take but i like this song more than slomo. the performance and choreo are not up to the same level as chanel, but as a song i think it's more compelling.

I love this performance, very dance heavy. But I wouldn't put on the song by itself to enjoy it. That being said - she's milking the absolute f out of this. It would garner a vote for effort - not neccessarily for the song itself, which is kind of what Eurovision jury and audience is looking for.

I don't understand the whole blindfold part. The dancers dance with the blindfolds on which is impressive but for her, the stage goes to silhouette, she gets flipped, and then the blindfold is off already

The one thing she needs first and foremost is a damn head mic lol. If there's any dancing, always always ditch the hand mic and get a head mic. There's also parts of the choreo that should be revised to better suit her. When she's doing that ground forward split, she doesn't have the flexibility for a full split and it looks a little ridiculous so best just to pull that entirely and do something else that her body can actually manage lol. She's super expressive with her hands, so handicapping herself by having to hold a mic the whole performance is a detriment to her and if she would wear a head mic to free up both arms for the whole performance she could open up so much more choreography and really elevate the performance factor. Also while the vocal isn't perfect, I'm giving her brownie points because she isn't overdoing it on production effects to enhance the vocal, and she does it all while putting on a performance incorporating a lot of physical movement which isn't easy. Practice will make perfect, and I think she will be one of the better improved acts by the time the live shows come. Excited for Malta's performance on the night, will be watching out for this one. :)

The flip was done just last year by Noa Kirel, she copied it from her. I have no idea what is so impressive about copying other performers’ moves and call it “the stunt of the season”. And the other parts of the performance are just a lame attempts to imitate Chanel. She’s basically copying both Chanel and Noa

Noa's flip was a bit different actually - I just went back and watched it now. Also Sarah does hers blindfolded which makes it feel more impressive in our opinion. Either way, Noa wasn't the first person to do a 360 flip and Sarah won't be the last. Doesn't stop it being exciting to us during the dance break in Loop though.

And Noa WAS kind of the only singer who performed it on stage - this move is from cheerleading and acrobatics, it’s not a typical dance move. That’s why Noa’s dance was unique, it was like a cheerleading routine and it wasn’t done before
