To be honest, this album, except for HARD and maybe JUICE, is very reminiscent of their Don't Call Me album and The Story of Light. You can say that it's the SHINee that we're used to hahahaha

I can imagine it might be a little jarring this being a first SHINee album (though maybe not! I just feel like every SHINee album is an 'experience' lol.) I've heard a lot of shawols say they really feel Jonghyun in the album/songs, and I agree completely. There's just something about it. IMO, every SHINee album is a completely unique and new experience. This one feels in line with the direction they've been moving over the years, to me, but still new and fresh. It feels like one step forward? Also, I loved your reaction to Identity! Along with Sweet Misery, Identity is my favorite from the album. So glad you're giving the album a listen. Really enjoyed the dreamy feeling you pointed out, super interesting! Thanks for the reaction. :)

Obviously you remembered jonghyun in LIKE IT...there is this lyric in that song " deja boo" this is one of jonghyun song from his 1st album which was written by him

There is a performance video of Hard that came out today, but the audio is a version without Onew that they’ve been using for music shows/their concert so you may want to listen to both of them!

I still haven't pinpointed what gives certain songs the "Seal" vibe. It's either the chord progressions and vocal patterns or the instrument selection. Or both... Either way, Seal has a very distinct sound.
