Hi beautiful Liz. I was 20 feet away for two hours. The place could have caught fire during this song and nobody would have noticed. I cried when she first came out. I couldn't help it. Thanks Liz, I can tell you Get Angelina. Not all reactors do. You feel the emotions she puts out to her angels and into their souls. Shes one of a kind. My favorite performer all my life was Elvis Presley. She covered alot of his songs. I thought oh no shes not gonna try that. Cuz I alawys thought no man could ever cover an Elvis song and do it justice. Yet every one of her Elvis covers I liked Angelinas version better. She is now my favorite performer Past present and future included ! She just hits me in the heart and soul like no other singer has ever done except elvis on a few songs of his. Hi, Steve! I believe her Concerts will be refined to such a degree each one will be greater than the one before it. Eventually, to go to an Angelina Concert performance will rank very high on anybody's to do list. How high? Well, because of conflicting dates, whatever the other event was (I'm serious) I would sell those tickets or give them to someone in my family and not miss Angelina's Concert! You can fill in the blanks about 'other events' because I'm implying, ANY event.

I think that we get the best Angelina when the song allows her to extend the phrasing, and that gives her time to transform three os four words in an avalanche of the most beautiful notes and tones. That is why old jazz and romantic songs suit ser so well. If one day I have de opportunity to talk to her, I would tell her: "Take it easy, Angie, I have the rest of my life to wait for you, and to listen to you, God bless you."

Hi Liz, was at the concert at the front centre of the balcony so the acoustics were great. AJ was so good. Her Mum spent ages outside the theatre chatting to people as we were going in. People had travelled from all over the world to see her sold out concert. Only 3500 miles for me, but I met people who had travelled three times as far! Hope she goes to Norway again next summer - that concert was awesome to see as well.

The 'Gold Standard' for this song is Bobby Hadfield's rendition that he performed 'live' on The Andy Williams Show, back in the 60's, as 1/2 of The Righteous Bros. Angelina covered it when she was younger and stayed 'spot on' with regard to emulating Bobbie's version, but her her 'Billie Holiday' Jazz roots come to the fore, allowing her to bring forth even more emotion laden penetration to the listener. It is simply a breathtaking 'live' performance.

Liz, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. I don't how many more 'intimate' Concerts she will do like this one. It was her first USA Concert and something we will never forget. On the way home in my car I spoke out loud to God and thanked God for giving me the opportunity to see and listen to Angelina live. She kept telling us how much she loved us. Someone pointed that out to me, that she said it too much. I replied to him and told him if she had planned to say different things to us after some of the songs, when she looked into the audience and saw a little less than a 1000 people looking at her with tears in their eyes because they loved her so much, that's the only way she could react. It was a lovefest and it meant so much for her to be there with all of us 'live'. She may be going on a world tour soon but we don't (at least I don't) have any details about it (where and when). Liz, she was REAL! We were in the same room as her! I can always say I was at a Concert Hall where a living Angel was performing for everyone in attendance and all of us will cherish those moments forever.

The people at Music Hall had not seen a sold out performance in their experience from a little known performer, to give you an example, their next performance following days was YoYo Ma. YoYo was there on Wednesday before Angelina. But, it was fun to talk to the locals in Portsmouth. Most of them had never heard of Angelina, and were wondering who this person was that sold out The Music Hall that they had never heard of! I directed a few towards KZbin!
