Angelina performed "Unchained Melody"at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony. She has, as you know, performed this many times since the age of 8. This was performed with reverence. She was honoring Narges Mohammadi who was a human rights activist in Iran. She is currently imprisoned. She received a 31 year sentence and 154 lashes. Her two children were there to receive her award. Angelina and no doubt her Iranian Grandma, Mery Zamani chose this song for a reason. Unchained Melody was written for a 1955 movie called " Unchained" about a man imprisoned longing for his love ones. So you see this has GREAT importance to Angie, and you hear it in her performance. Hi Liz, Great comments and insight as always! We don't know yet weather Angelina is preparing to record this and release it or whether they were just rehearsing for some other reason. I'm sure we'll know in time. You are right on regarding Angelina's taking control. She has done this since she was a child and there are a few videos that demonstrate such. When she does portrait of a child, it is certainly evident. That is why Angelina is known as the "Boss". Angelina performed stunning version of Unchained Melody at the Nobel Peace prize in Oslo this past week. There are a few videos posted of the performance. She has done it a few times previously over the years but I think this one eclipses all. The emotion of the moment and of the story captured Angelina and in turn captured all of us. Thanks again for your unwavering support of this beautiful artist and person. Peace and love. By the way, you mentioned Angelina becoming big and why hasn't that happened. When she signed with Republic Records at age 14, after America's got talent, her family made the decision to protect her and not promote her until she graduated school and was old enough to make her own decisions, perhaps at 18 years old. So she has been doing her thing for a few years while preparing for stardom so to speak. She turns 18 in January and a publication just came out in Turkey that says Angelina has the next 3 years of concerts and other activities already planned out. We think the big push is coming, and I personally think her parents did the right thing not pushing her too soon. So many young artists are ruined from pressure and downright evil in this competitive industry. Angelina is now strong and mature and I think can handle anything.

She is an amazing young lady Liz....did you catch where she stopped singing and ask Mom, Sara, where is her sister Juliette? Mom responded that she was with Michael (uncle and Manager)...she is always looking out for little Sis, no matter what she is doing. Whenever it comes to heartfelt ballads by Adele, that are covered by Angelina, you will always note that Angelina ALWAYS brings forth more emotion laden penetration to the listener. The reason has to do with the fact that Adele, as great as she is, the type of singing she performs is in the 'Pop' genre, whereas Angelina is a 'Jazz' specialist who exudes every fiber of feeling possible because of it. If you're not Billie Holiday, don't even try to match or surpass Angelina, for you won't be able to.

Liz, the main reason she's not as popular as other singers is she has class and that's not what this younger generation wants, they prefer trashy songs with trashy lyrics. Most can't carry a tune, they would sound like crap without auto-tune. AJ is all class and no trash!!!
