the best way to see how clean and stable their live vocals are is the Immortal Songs performances - unfortunately, those are invariably blocked for reactions, which is really sad. The IS performances have a much more controlled environment and the show requires all vocals are live. I cannot explain to you the JAW DROPPING SHOCK of their most recent appearance on IS in terms of stable vocals.

San didn't have the best singing technique early on and damaged his vocal cords so much that he was bleeding. He's since had better training and learned what he can and can't do vocally to protect himself. He also tends to do a bit more lip syncing to save his breath for dancing while also holding reserves for the more impactful live vocals. Where as Jongho holds back on his dancing in order to have the breath to do his vocals. We were hoping that the live band would be added to the North American leg of the tour but sadly not. Hopefully in future tours they will use the live band. They sound amazing with the live band and I would love to see it live. Aug 6th will be my second time seeing them live and I can't wait. They are truly special live, and yes, I can confirm that Jongho sounds just like that live, it's amazing. Like you I am a huge fan of vocals and that's how he became my Ult bias. I look forward to your journey with Ateez, it's going to be fun to watch.

The “bad” techniques being a fault of their agency and not San’s fault as vocalist. He is at the end of the day the bridge between Jh and the rest of the members vocally. Also his lip syncing is not a fact. He has proved time and again that he can maintain stable vocals while executing his choreo. His two vocal parts in this instance did not require him to save his breath. This is simply a clarification.

@@broskiyt12 seek help. He has zero problems with his vocal cords. He has said this himself. Can you stop spreading misinformation about him? Ateez have said that different scenarios require lip syncing which many instances is not something they can control but they try their damn hardest to sing live in most of their stages. I repeat San does not have any issue with his vocal cords. This is something that happened 6 years ago. Get your facts right.

To put into perspective their insane stamina, this was the third song they did in a row with no breaks in between. The two songs that came before didn't exactly have the easiest choreo either, one of them notoriously known for the crazy dance break at the end. So yeah, they're pretty amazing. One member has mentioned that they train by singing on a treadmill, which makes sense considering how stable they are despite how tired and out of breath they must be. Fun fact, after the week 2 Coachella performance, Jongho immediately took vocal lessons in LA. It just goes to show you how dedicated they are, like Jongho your live vocals are already at the inhumane level haha. There are two behind the scenes for Coachella on the ATEEZ channel and I definitely recommend checking them out if you ever decide to watch the full Chellateez performance. It's always incredible to see the amount of effort and hard work these guys put into their stages. If you ever need a link to the full official cam of their Coachella performance, I have it! Just let me know :) Copyright is definitely an issue, I'd look into either blocking the screen or uploading the video elsewhere and just linking it to us. If you go fancam route you should be fine though, only downside is that you can't see their facial expressions clearly, so if you can I hope you do the official one! Lastly, you HAVE to see the Guerrilla dance practice. I'm also going to suggest the 1theKILLPO Guerrilla performance they did. It's just all too good!

San has had some real troubles with his throat in the past from singing too much (idk how else to describe it I’m German sorry) Also when he’s performing live he puts so much energy into the choreography, so sometimes he’d spare his vocals for particular parts to show off his insane vocals. If you’re interested in hearing his voice clearly I’d recommend to look up like some sort of San live vocals compilation or smth, he really IS an incredible singer🧎♀️🫶🏼

Jongho is the King of 4th gen vocals. Arguably, one of the best kpop vocalists of all time. And for San, he does sing like that. All of their vocals are pretty stable. His falsetto does sound like that. And Yunho too.

There is a difference between microphones that members hold in their hands and those stuck to their faces in terms of sound. Those close to the face have a much lower sound to prevent the audience from hearing breathing. Beyond that, I also believed for a while that San and Yunho didn't sing their parts but having seen them a lot of times in concert, it's because they are also among the most stable members. It's quite incredible to hear them in real life because there is practically no difference between the studio version and their voices, you realize that they are live when one of them makes a mistake, or when they're catching their breath or when you're lucky enough to be close to them. Sometimes they also take some liberties. This is the case for San in multiple live versions of Take Me Home for exemple, there you can clearly see that his last note is not the original.

But what i meant for example san was in his highest energy and as you said their choreographies are so hard and theyve been dancing many songs in a short period of time so it’s hard sometimes for san/ateez to go to 30% of their energy suddenly when they were 200% the whole show to sing a soft/calm part so it’s the right and smart decision to lipsync and absolutely nothing wrong with it

Hmm, interesting. I watched live, and they had no backing, so its interesting that this vid has it lol. Jungho does nottt mess around❤ none of them do really! Usually, the headsets aren't as loud and crisp as the handheld mics, unless they grab their headset and hold it close and steady or yell into it. I watched both weekends, and it was just amazing. ❤ they all have insane voice stability/stamina for their choreography. Thanks, again! Love seeing these!

Yeay!!! Glad tt you managed to get this reaction through. Same as you!! The bass immediately got my attention when the music started. You have to watch the full performance. There's one fancam out there which is very loved. The bass player killed it especially in Say My Name. I watched that particular song on repeat. 😅 This is only the 4th time they performed with a live band, tt I can recall, Atinys cmiiw. (1st was in The Kolor programme in 2020, 2nd was during Hongjoong's busking event in 2021, 3rd was at Lovesome Festival in 2023 - all 3 were in SK) So Coachella was their first overseas gig with a live band. I hope moving forward, as Ateez grows bigger, they get to have a live band on tour with them always. Hopefully the next time i see them, on an Asian tour, they have a band with them 🙏

San had to learn a new singing technique as the way he learned when he was young was detrimental to the health of his vocal chords. He had to relearn to sing in a healthier way. This has ended up with him unable to sing some of his older parts because it's out of his safe range now if he's performing back to back for an hour etc. There's a bunch of songs we'll probably never hear again which bums me out but we'd rather have a healthy San. Guerilla is one of the songs that just shreds his range. So he lets the back track do its work. There's a handful of these moments in their performance of older songs but if you take into consideration how his speaking voice has changed from when these songs were released, it's not that odd that he has to skip the sections that hit the high notes.
