Reaction to Band-Maid's "Hate?"

You ought to check the live version of this song! It has an awesome 1.5 minutes of guitar-bass battle! Trust me, you will thank me for it😉 About the "?" in the song title, this is what Saiki (lead vocal) said in an interview: "When I wrote the lyrics, I wanted to use the phrase "I hate you". I initially decided the title to be "HATE", and then I realized that "HATE" could be read "はて" in Japanese. Because "はて" is typically used in question, I put "?" to make the title "HATE?"." I'm sure that Saiki was smiling a lot when she decided on this title with "?" because she guessed that English speaking fans would be puzzled by it. "はて?" can be translated as "What?"

I agree with your relative views of Warning and HATE. Warning is more intense and intricate. HATE is what I consider an average Band Maid song. The live version of HATE displays the band's performance chops, elevating the song into top tier stuff. The whole Unleash album is intense. Two favs from this album are From Now ON, and Corallium.

Band-Maids two best music videos are "From Now On" MV or the "Blooming" MV ! Everything else should be live =)

Glad you checked out another one! Just for future reference, if people suggest a song and there isn't a music video for it, they usually want you to check out an Official Live video off their channel. You may be concerned that the quality of the audio on a live recording may not be up to snuff, but I can guarantee you that the Official Live videos are professionally mixed and sound excellent. The reason the live versions are often suggested are because not only are the ladies superb live performers, but they often add additional sections that improve the song. If you want some other bands, some that I've been listening to lately are Hanabie and Electric Callboy. If you haven't listened to either of those bands, check out "We Love Sweets" by Hanabie and "Hypa Hypa" by Electric Callboy

Enjoyed the reaction. You're not tripping, Kanami used chord progressions here to instill a subliminal sense of inspiration, motivation and brightness to the song. FYI Band-Maid's passion is performing their music live. I'd pick microsoft because I don't know anything about linux.

This version is still good, but the official livve version is 100 times better. As a rule, with Band-Maid, if you have a choice between an audio-only track (or Music Video) and an official live version, ALWAYS go with the official live versioin. They are built as a live band, and that's where they really soar!
