Halfway through the "Duel" Miku comes in playing octaves, then she goes into mirroring Kanami's riff before Kanami goes into her tapping section. By mirroring, where Kanami is high on the neck, Miku is low, as Kanami runs down the neck, Miku is going up. It makes what Kanami is playing much thicker tonally.

Great reaction. If you happen to listen to it again you might notice that Miku was not just hanging out with Saiki during the Kanami/Misa face off. She was actually playing for all but middle part of the feature though the cameras never showed her. It is really noticeable when she drops out and Misa’s bass suddenly pops to the fore (I thought it was Kanami at first until I noticed she was not playing as Misa kicked off the battle). Her ascending chords when she came back in really added tension to the build up as she then joined them in that chugging climax before Kanami rounded things out with the original solo from the studio cut. All the while happy to step back and let the instrumental stars shine while she provides solid support. Our little unsung pigeon never ceases to amaze me with her vital, but often subtle, role in the Band-Maid sound.

Had the pleasure of seeing them 3 times last year and still excited to see this show. Just got the Limited Edition Blue Ray delivered yesterday... Endless Story in this show is the last song of the last show of 10 YR anniversary tour. They are all in tears at the end. Miku's lips start quivering so bad she cuts all her vocals short. Seike is the best Ive ever seen her. Kunami stares incredulously at the crowd. Its all rather inspirational

Dane, the release of "Endless Story", the official live video to end that concert is amazing. Kanami stated that she wrote the song to be an "anthem" song that would allow the audience to participate in with their voices. She nailed it! Every great song makes an emotional connection between the musicians and the audience. "Endless Story" is one of those songs. If you react to it, get some Kleenex.

Only Miku is dressed in the traditional maid clothes. It seems the longer they go, the further from “maid” they get. Yokohama was definitely the largest one man show they’ve ever done. I haven’t found official stats yet, but I’m guessing around 14-15k. And your first pronunciation of “Ka-na-MI” is actually closer to how she pronounces it herself. 😊

Kanami stated that she composed "Hate?" when she was in an angry mood one day. She told the band-members that, so the lyrics needed to fit the music. Both Miku and Saiki wrote lyrics to the music. The band adopted Saiki's lyrics. Why you ask. Miku is more subtle and circumspect in her lyrics and Saiki is a lot more direct. Saiki said she wrote the lyrics because she was angry at the husband of one of her friends (Lisa, a J-Pop singer) who cheated on her during the Covid pandemic. Sometimes you have to vent. The lyrics are brutal yet funny. The moral is don't piss off Saiki. This song has such great energy and musicianship. WHAT A BAND!!!!!

Sorry, Bill, most of this isn't accurate. According to Saiki, the lyrics were inspired by many media reports of infidelity during the pandemic (and a line from The Simpsons), and not about anyone in particular. Saiki just said that it (cheating) also happened to "a friend." There's no real evidence that Saiki is close with LiSA. That's just rampant fan speculation. They've met but that's all anyone knows. Akane is likely most acquainted with her but it's not known if they're close. Kanami was not angry. When Saiki first heard the demo, she thought Kanami might have been angry. Kanami said not true at all. She simply envisioned "an explosion." (She did admit to being frustrated and angry during the writing for Unseen World, though. Maybe that's the confusion.) But yes, great, great song, the lyrics are indeed brutal and funny, and I still wouldn't want to piss off Saiki.

There is no favorite Song. On Sayonakidori, acoustic live, MISA plays lead and Miku and Akani sing. On a number of songs MISA and Kanaim go back and forth. the instrumentals bang and the ballads will melt your heart. Every minute of every song is a special moment for me.

It's funny, but your Music Sign is using the Treble Cleft for the S in the word, but that symbol is actually a G, so it says MuGic. LOL! If you like the Call & Response "Battle" check out 'Don't You Tell ME" from this same show. It's a shame that the original version was take off KZbin ahead of a DVD release and can now only be seen on the Chinese site Bilibili. It's more dramatic. And trying to get a video recording off it it, let's just say sub-optimal.
