I apply the same logic as I did for Araujo last season: this early in the game, juat allow the goal to happen. If you're Neuer, and you thought you could get to the ball and committed to going for it, when you realize you're not gonna, just let Frimpong score. You got a much better chance coming back from 1-0 down at home with 75 minutes to go than you do playing the rest of the game with 10 men. If it's the 89th minute, oh, you're bringing that brother down if it's the last thing you do, but this early in the game, there is no need for that

I have no idea why Neuer even came out of his box to challenge Frimpong. He had two Bayern defenders right there very close to Frimpong and it would have been extremely difficult for Frimpong to score with both of them very close to him and Neuer actually in his goal.

To win a game you also need clear chances and I have not seen a clear Bayern chance the whole game. They had small opportunities from time to time, but never this great chance to definitely score. They had more possession, which is unusual with one men down, but most of the time it was not dangerous possession. Leverkusen had a few chances but better ones imo.

Leverkusen wouldn‘t stand a chance 11v11, they were horrible and were still dominated by Bayern for the whole game. If you wouldn’t know, you could think Augsburg or Union Berlin are playing. Bayern under Kompany are ultra dominant in possession with their high press, but they need to play more direct at times, they recycle possession and play safe too often instead of playing the last pass into the final third. You could see that in the game against Dortmund as well.

You cant really blame Kompany for this loss, and for these bad performances. What he can do with these washed players(Gnabry, Coman, Sane, Goretzka, Neuer, Muller) really? Bayern needs a squad overhaul. 3 new wingers, a backup striker, a backup CM, they need to keep Davies, Musiala, Kimmich at all cost and go again in the next season. I wont be suprised if they cant win the CL this season too, but they really need to win the Bundesliga title. AT LEAST THE BUNDESLIGA, that alone is a good start for Kompany with these players what he have now. Its so painfull to watch Coman, Gnabry, Sane front of the goal and Neuer in the goal... Neuer has lived fast and loose for years, but this year feels different. His decisions have been more reckless, imo. I've felt myself holding my breath when he gets the ball. I dunno, maybe his leg injury from two years ago is a problem for him and he's over compensating. Or maybe that he's older. He still sparkles and makes great saves, but something seems off.

It was really bad luck for Bayern, but it is not a coincidence anymore! Manuel Neuer cost us the wohle season 22/23 due to his injury. When he came back last season, he was ok, but not nearly is good anymore. He cost us points and did hurt us badly due to his inconsistent and sometimes terrible performances. I love neuer, he is the goat for me, but it is over now! He is the weakest part of the team right now in my opinon

I’m not going to blame the card for the loss, I think that even one man down Bayern would’ve still had trouble winning/scoring. Why? Simply because our striker-their most important position-is temporarily vacant… Kane is one of the best finishers in the world and not having him on the pitch meant their attack was a 21 golden boy who is a PLAYMAKER, Olise-a winger who’s lost form, Coman-who is way off of depth for a while now… I love Kane, I think he was the right choice, but not having him on the pitch tonight or on other nights that are important for the club is a terrible situation for Bayern, especially when they could’ve won this game against a wounded Leverkusen.
