You nailed the "high fashion" aspect of Blackpink. FYI, Rose' is the Global Ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) and Tiffanys. Jisoo is the Global Ambassador for Dior and Cartier. Jennie is the GA for Chanel and Calvin Klein. Lisa is the GA for Celine, Prada, and Bvlgari. That's just their international endorsements in fashion and jewelry. You said it and I agree. ITs an art canvas and YG Entertainment put alot of effort into making BlackPink stand out against their competition. THe old guard of K-Pop wanted fashionable girls but they wanted the girls to be sugar and spice and everything nice. The other generations were copyboard cutouts of the perfect version of a woman that every man wants, submissive and always smiling. I would call it bubblegum princess. YG looked at it and redefined what BlackPink is. These woman would be 'pink punk' they would be edgier, they would be angrier, they would have their own wants and personalities. And yes their fashion is creative and modern. They started a trend, and watch and pretty soon you will see other K-Pop that will emulate (copy) BP's visual and style. That's one thing about success- it usually breeds copycats.

OH MY GOD! I didn't know you were doing Kpop too! I found Kpop in Fall 2020 and it basically saved me through the pandemic (and a couple painful years with my home situation). I love this MV and it actually is a great one for the 2nd season of 'Hamish Macbeth' (especially the middle section - that's totally blonde Alex & Isobel standing next to each other). Another one that's a personal favorite of mine with a different quality (& is the perfect theme song for Nancy/Bill Sikes) is their MV for 'Stay'. I have a playlist if you want the link to picking out MVs that look interesting. I see you've done Dreamcatcher's 'Boca' which I'm about to watch that reaction. For recommendations: "What Is Love Mv" (Twice), "Turbulence" (Ateez), "Thunderous" (Stray Kids - I'm a DIE-HARD STAY for life. You will LOVE THEM! Domino Dance practice shows their dancing skills as well), "Navillera" (Gfriend - use 1theK channel as that has English subtitles), the group Seventeen (I can't pick a MV - 'Home Run' is great for singing, & 'Don't Wanny Cry' shows their incredible dancing). Finally is 'Kpop 2020 Can't Stop Me' by NormalSmasher which is a mashup of over 150+ songs from 2020 (no subtitles needed) and is incredible, "Jungle Mv" (CIX) which is pure art, and 'The Light' (The Ark - which will make you cry).

Can you check out Lisa and Rose's cover of L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole? It really showcases Lisa's vocal talent, which we don't get to see very often due to her role in the group quick cute backstory for the cover: Lisa and rose performed it a couple of times during private stages in 2019 in Seoul, ROSÉ originally planned to perform the cover alone, but she asked Lisa to join her, Lisa was hesitant at first because she is mainly a rapper but ROSÉ encouraged her to sing

Great reaction. Suggestion, just start from their debut songs (Boombayah and Whistle) and then come forward in chronological order. There is actually a tremendous amount of symbolism in this song having to do with toxic love. If interested in what messages they included check out English Priest Reacts to Kill This Love, where they get into the Greek Mythological symbolism (statute of Aphrodite in the chorus, symbolizing the self destructive impact of hedonistic love), and Freudian symbolism (Id, SuperEgo and Ego). Note the license plate name on the car is "Ego" that SuperEgo Rose is driving to run over Ego Rose, symbolizing how the logical side of Rose is taking back control from emotional pleasure seeking Ego Rose to end a toxic love affair. Same for SuperEgo Jisoo (the archer) killing Ego Jisoo (the Princess). Yeah, they not only pack a heck of lot of visuals, but a ton of symbolism and meaning in their MVs.
