I like some American humour. I think Frazier, is cleverly written and Malcolm In The Middle, has got some good nasty moments in it.

You should check out the British Office if you like the American version. It ran to just 2 series and a special so it never outstayed it's welcome like the US version eventually did.

i love both the american and british office, think the american version actually had a lot more quality in a lot of parts, it's definitely an anomaly of americans recreating something for me, i'd rather rewatch the american version also, it's always sunny is fantastic, one of my favourites. they nailed that show. Seinfeld i never liked i think i enjoy IASIP because it's got the same absurdism/slapstick feel of stuff like The Young Ones, Bottom etc whilst also having an American feel.

I think you nailed it very well with your opening remarks. Unfortunately that has been under attack for decades now by a movement that seems hell bent on destroying the very thing they champion. I'll say no more on that, because the hatred will follow. There are two things that are very ingrained in traditional British humor. Firstly: British humor (between friends, loved ones, etc... ) can seem utterly horrific at times to other cultures. What I mean is we tend to "take the piss out of" those closest to us the most. A best friend could be diagnosed with cancer, and we will show our love and support by saying something like "I always said you would look good with a bald head!". Sounds terrible, but is actually full of love and support, and a tendency to make light of a bad situation. Secondly: Introduce utter nonsensical elements, and play with those ideas, but still have a underlying connection to reality. Somehow.

I agree, I actually like the taking the piss culture, I tend to shy away from things that become too earnest.

@@junior602002 Gah... My most deepest apologies. Too many comments on American uploads, and red lines underscoring my words. I'm at least glad that you sent me to the oldschool Greek version of the underworld, and not the Catholic one. But hey, I can hopefully make it up to you right now: When I type colour, I type COLOUR. I paint and draw and piss around. That extra "U" is my soul, and I don't think I have ever fumbled. So with any luck, at the very least you could have a change of heart and simply cast me into a form of purgatory? That would be a huge help.
