Another reason he said he doesn’t like leaving his home is because lights hurt his eyes and he has to wear an eyepatch when he goes out sometimes 😔

That kinda makes more sense on why he doesnt wanna go outside. Coz as you just said if he does have to wear an eyepatch outside it would be much easier to find out who he is coz correct me if I'm wrong almost no one wears an eyepatch outside.

You seem so insightful, I loved this! And GERD doesn`t necessarily make the voice deep, but it has made his voice very gravely. If you look at his older vids, he always had a naturally deep voice, and it has gotten deeper, but the gravely part of his voice is, sadly, because GERD is ruining his throat. There is a big chance that Corpse will lose his voice in 3+ years or so. And yes, Corpse has a lot of medical issues that the doctors have taken a long time to figure out, and still struggles to figure out. (From what I have heard)

He also has Fibromyalgia, which has a ridiculous range of symptoms, and is INCREDIBLY rare in males (he had better chances of winning the lottery 5 times in a row), making it hard to diagnose. My mom was diagnosed w/ it in late '97 after 2 years of symptoms that docs couldn't figure out, so I know just how bad that shit can get. I can't imagine having to deal with that @ 19-20 yo as Corpse had to.

Apparently Corpse has fibromyalgia (a medical condition characterized by chronic widespread pain and a heightened pain response to pressure), thoracic outlet syndrome (a condition in which there is compression of the nerves, arteries, or veins in the passageway from the lower neck to the armpit), and GERD (also known as acid reflux, is a long-term condition in which stomach contents rise up into the esophagus, resulting in either symptoms or complications). So yeah those are some shitty illnesses to have as an adult let alone as a kid.

I jus stumbled across ur channel, I’m glad I did, new sub here! I enjoy ur reactions so much😊 Ummm, I’m also Agoraphobic. It doesn’t get talked bout or explained. Ur made to feel ashamed, keep quiet, dirty lil secret, weak, must b crazy. So we silently suffer more cause there’s very lil understanding or support. I’m crying typing this cause I’m embarrassed, feel shame, misunderstood. But Corpse writing and releasing this song has meant everything to me. He knows exactly how I feel and y and he gets it. He explained how it feels it very well. My personal opinion based on me having Agoraphobia is this song had to have been SO difficult to write, sing and release. The fear and anxiety he must’ve felt not knowing how this “shameful & taboo” issue would b received? I respect his efforts so much. At the end when he repeats I’m not ok, what’s the point, again my point of view from having the same thing…it feels like no matter how many times, How many ways, how loud we r, no one hears us screaming from the inside that we’re not ok, like we’re invisible so what’s the point and I do catch myself saying those exact words all the time. I could sit and break down the video and lyrics front his point of view cause it all makes sense to me…he’s sitting alone, n a window watching life happen and go by, he’s not part of it. It’s very lonely, confusing and it makes me sad someone as young as him knows what this feels like. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Agoraphobia is usually caused by trauma and goes hand n hand with anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc. It’s Hell on earth 💯 I have went to therapy, psych docs, taken classes, courses, tried groups, done everything they tried to no avail. Apparently it is what it is? So I choose to spend some of my time online trying to spread kindness, positivity and reach out to someone I see is n need. It gives me a positive purpose and make me happy to make others happy. I’m sorry I wrote a novel 🥺 Ur energy, words and presence made me feel comfy nuff to share all that. Compliment to u💯 Ty💯🥺

I think people often mistake simplicity for laziness in song writing but the fact is, more often than not, its for the purpose of emphasizing a certain point and you nailed that here. Repetition is key in a song when trying to steer the focus and, no disrespect intended, but people who aren't musically inclined might not see that perspective.

It’s a good thing my musical background is jazz then 😀lots of repetition in solos. I’ve once played the same note 20 or so times during an improv and I didn’t even notice at the time, it’s just felt right.

I'm sure you've heard some of it but Corpse has something called GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) which is basically acid from his stomach coming back up to his throat and it makes his voice a lot raspier and can even be deeper. He also mentioned he has a lot of chronic pain, sleep apnea and much more due to fibromyalgia and thoracic outlet syndrome. He has severe anxiety and as he mentioned he's agoraphobic which is an anxiety disorder in which you fear and avoid places or situations that might cause you to panic and make you feel trapped, helpless or embarrassed. He mentioned losing vision in his eyes, having light sensitivity and having to wear eye patches and even losing feeling in both his arms at one point. I loved ur reaction to this and I hope I got everything :)

And he has health issues bc he has a sindrun named gerd meaning Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach (esophagus). This backwash (acid reflux) can irritate the lining of your esophagus. Many people experience acid reflux from time to. So that's how he got his deep voice he has his deep voice since he was 12 and it got deeper bc he turned into a grown man

Corpse has extreme social anxiety or agoraphobia and hardly ever leaves his house. Most of the lines are things that happened to him or are happening and how he feels. 'Cause I can't do shit right I can't learn my lesson: probably him just feeling bad about himself and thinking he can't do anything right I can't do shit right, take anti-depressants: he's probably on medication Illness and welfare robbed my adolescence: he had to drop out of school in 8th grade due to his illnesses My friends probably hate me can't answer a message: another insecurity, thinking everybody hates him for having anxiety and being nervous to do certain things Filled with anxiety, always be hiding' me: never leaves his house unless he has to because of his anxiety Feelin' inadequate's always what's drivin' me: he thinks he's useless sad and solitary, and just a generally bad person but he isn't he is really nice and always makes my day. Not a role model, that's not what I strive to be: respect for dis manz Can't go outside, I'm afraid they be finding me: another feeling of anxiety, if the man doesn't wanna to outside then he doesn't have to Paranoid 'bout my privacy: terrified he'll get exposed and everybody will hate him when the truth is most of his fans like him for who he is not what he may look like And they always askin' questions 'bout my face, can't relate: he hates his face, which is stupid Fuckin' caught my own reflection, broke a mirror the other day: he has said in a Q&A that all the mirrors in his house are covered Got alot of bad shit that I'm taking to my grave: he's taking all the bad shit in his past to his grave which is dumb cause such a good person shouldn't suffer through those sort of things and he may also be thinking all the bad things he has done he's taking to his grave which he'd think is alot but it isn't. Got a fucking date with death, on house arrest 'till trial date: he's saying that he wants to die but he doesn't want to also so he's just waiting in his house till he dies So I grab red wine on rainy days and then I poor it: the man has ruined every hard liquor for himself- Cause ill age another fucking thousand days before I know it: he sees life as short Yeah, I spend 'em all inside , waste my time while I'm scrollin': saying he's wasting his short life on the internet But I love when it rains cause I'm agoraphobic: rains a great excuse to stay inside all day
