I loved this Death Battle's fight! Not only for the two characters being themselves and keeping their personalities, but the ending! It was like a story! I love it when they add some story to the fights not just randomly.

Awesome reaction Mate. And the ending had me in tears especially when Jonathan agreed to honor Tanjiro's request to look after Nezuko, and in a way continue his mission to take down Muzan and his demonic forces.

I'm just glad that it actually seemed like either could win because I really couldn't decide on who would win at first.. When you compare some of the other death battles where some characters are over 1000s of times stronger than the other, twice as strong doesn't seem that far.

This may be the best ending I've ever seen in a fight. I almost completely forgot my saltiness towards Tanjiro losing, and even appreciate Jonathan's character for the first time, since I have never seen a single episode of Jojo.

I got spoiled for who won and who’s next, while I’m not exactly happy about that, I knew the next fight was coming anyway (even though I expected it to be much later in the season) and I didn’t really care for the matchup all that much UNTIL THAT FUCKING ENDING TO THE FIGHT, GOD THAT WAS ACTUALLY KINDA SAD 😞 😔😟😕🙁☹️😣😖😫😩🥺😢😭😥😓😰 Why is it the Anime fights that sometimes get sad? First Pokémon VS Digimon, then All Might VS Might Guy, and now Tanjiro VS Jonathan

Quick follow-up to my first post, having seen your closing thoughts. If the predicted schedule holds up, then considering both RTX and being so close to the 4th of July (no big deal in the UK, but a really big deal in the US), I'd almost bet money on it being Sarge vs Soldier. Otherwise, I don't see any other Rooster Teeth options big enough. They wouldn't do Ruby vs Maka yet, I don't see them using one of the main girls again until Ruby herself gets in, and I don't see any other RWBY matchup being big enough to justify even a mid-season finale. There's only one RWBY match I could see in that slot, but it involves reusing one of the mains, and regardless of the result, I feel like it'd make people angry...

YES! I was hoping Thor would be Vegeta's opponent! And I really hope they make the fight 3D, because that is a match up worthy of the 3D animation. Even the DBX between them was 3D (Not very good 3D animation but still).

My own personal prediction for the mid-season finale wasn't actually Vegeta Vs Thor, but rather, it was Ruby Vs Maka. I thought it would be this because..... -RTX is near the mid-season finale -Death Battle would want to promote RWBY Ice Queendom -It's a highly requested matchup -It's (Sorry if I misspell the name) Monty Oum's most wanted matchup That might actually have a high chance of being the matchup since Vegeta Vs Thor is out of the picture :)

On one hand, I'm pretty interested in the next fight since Dragon Ball usually gets some pretty good episodes, on top of being super excited for you, since I know you really love this matchup. On the other, not only is this another teased combatant, meaning they'll probably spoil them all really quickly (on top of way too much marvel and/or dc in one sitting), but most people were betting on this being the mid-season finale, so I'm really curious how they'll handle that.
