I've been a Lep fan for 40 years. Usually these videos prompt a lot of comments about how only certain parts of their catalog are worth loving. I'm just adding my two cents...you can love ALL of it. The poppy stuff, the hard stuff, and every dirty, grungy moment of Slang. Blood Runs Cold!! I've changed in 40 years, I accept and expect nothing less of these guys.🤘🏽 Happy listening!!!

It's typical of Def Leppard to include one 'epic' song on each album. Some albums have more than one. Other 'epics' include: When the Walls Came Tumbling Down, Overture, On Through the Night, Die Hard the Hunter, Billy's Got a Gun, Gods of War, White Lightning, Pearl of Euphoria, Paper Sun, Kings of Oblivion, Scar, Go, Love, Wings of an Angel, Goodbye for Good This Time, From Here to Eternity.

I'm a huge, unabashed Def Leppard fan. This is one of my favorite deep cuts. Check out everything, but a shout out for another deep cut ROCKER.. You Got Me Runnin' from the High n Dry album.

High N Dry is probably my favorite DL album. It’s all good, but my top two recommendations would by Another Hit and Run and Let It Go!

A lot of what was Retro Active was exactly what the title sounds like. Older tracks that were never used, never released, never fit in with the theme of the current album they were working on at the time, and so you have these tracks. All of them are awesome and this is no exception.

So awesome to see someone react to a deep cut like this! I love this song, God's of War, and White Lightning

I've been a hard-core Def Leppard fan since '85 (I know, strange year to become a fan of theirs) and Desert Song is my favorite track from them.

I distinctly remember driving to the Neshaminy Mall in my Olds Delta 88 and buying this album. Sorry, I don’t remember if it was The Wall or Sam Goody, but I bought this album there, and popped it in my portable Panasonic CD player mounted to the center hump (old people know what I’m talking about) and listened to it the whole way home. I parked in the parking lot that no longer exists due to the movie theater for people familiar with that mall. :)

This song segues into "Fractured Love"- another song that rocks hard. You should react to that.

It's definitely a part of their sound. They are able to go dark and heavy and there is at least one song on every album that goes into this territory. This album is viewed by most fans as their farewell to the Steve Clark era (RIP Riff Master). This album is a really great mix up of all types of styles and shows the level of craftsmenship they have that these leftovers and B sides sound this good. You should really listen to the next song on it, Fractured Love. Desert Song bleeds right into it. From the Inside is another dark song on it but it's acoustic.

That cover art is a reproduction of a well known painting. It is e titled “Vanity” I believe. I remember A copy of it was hanging in the stairwell of my grandparents home…going down to the basement. This was in the 1950’s….and it was old even then. Creepy but cool.

I think Steve Clark really anchored the darker side of their sound for the first two albums. Of course that darker side also came at a cost of him being pretty much textbook bipolar and a serious addict. So yeah he died.

They have several underrated songs that veer from their normal radio/anthem songs. "All Night" from Euphoria album "Slang", "Gift of Flesh" and "Pearl of Euphoria" from Slang album "Cruise Control", "Come Undone" and "Bad Actress" on Songs from the Sparkle Lounge album The cover photo is intentionally creepy. A photo through a keyhole that's spying on someone's dressing room that overall resembles a skull. Yup, that's creepy but uniquely weird.

This song was written as an homage to Mick Ronson, David Bowie's guitarist, who was dying from cancer at the time.

Should have gotten more airplay but album came out when grunge still ruled. I always had to buy Def Lep 45s or cassette singles to always get the extra bonus b-side. Few bands did that for fans. Ride Into the Sun is one of my all time favorites and was a b--side!

Silas, you love that heavy metal sound. You need to do more Metallica…investigate a bit of Iron Maiden, perhaps even Pantera. Let’s see how heavy you want to go. 😁🤘Personally, for me, Pantera is a bridge too far, but you might love them. Let’s see where your taste leads you. I’d like to see you do more Tool…you did several and then just dropped them. I think they would scratch that itch. Listen to their cover of Zeppelins No Quarter. Fantastic
