Just another one of these guys who claim to be the greatest but fail utterly everytime you put them to the test. I remember when he decided to be a powerlifter. The guy cooking took over the role of the deceased mother and cared for the guys. They had an Incredibly messy place but one of them had the fascinating talent to without looking tell if they had a specific car part on storage and where to find it, so in a way it was an organized chaos.

that news report floored me. dude got primed with the drunken couple and then got sent with the Hohen Asch which he for sure misread as Arsch (ass) and almost misspoke Kackendordrein , sry Kaltennordheim. an then to top it off: "along the Rhön 84.000 [cubic]meters of wood are cut each year, and 100.000 meters are re-growing each year. sorry, that shouldn't be like this." implying the forest shouldn't regrow.. 💀

To give some context about the guy getting his ski stuck in the bus, that was a scripted stunt for an insurance ad. The guy flipping the Ski is Didier Cuche, a professional Swiss skier. After a ski race Cuche would often flip his ski up in a similar manner and catch it, which became basically his trademark. I can't remember which insurance company this was for, but they've sponsored him for years

The noodle guy at 11:02 is one of the main characters in the German reality soap "Die Ludolfs - 4 Büder auf'm Schrottplatz" which with 93 episodes was a major success. The series is about the Ludolfs, a family of four brothers living and running a vehicle recycling company / junkyard together in their own, very quirky way and that does include cooking their noodles. Second clip from the show is the yelling guy calling two of his brothers at 13:01.

in germany it´s illegal to film and "publish" it without consent of the filmed people (it may be legal for private use). But its defenitely forbidden to film without consent in private businesses

Are you talking about the Hutbürger? No, you are wrong. It is not illegal for journalists to film people at public demonstrations, even close-ups of faces, according to German media law.
@autinerd2 ай бұрын
Oh, you have to check videos of the Ludolfs (the man with the noodles). The TV show followed the life of the 4 brothers (later only 3 as one of the brothers died) who are the owners of a scrap yard. Peter is the guy who cooks, there are quite some funny things he says about different foods :D Topics of the series often were finding parts in the very large heaps of stuff, recycling of old cars, and some silly stuff like races or experiments with cars. Peter is the brother who knows where each part is which the customer wants to have and also cooks for the other brothers.

To give a little bit of extra context to the Hutbürger thing: Under normal circumstances, he would actually be right, you aren't allowed to just randomly film people without their permission as Germany recognizes a right to one's own image. However, since he was participating in a demonstration and demonstrations are meant to be seen, the law doesn't apply in this case. Participation in demonstrations means you are giving implicit consent for your image to be broadcasted in news reporting.

You can be sure in at least every third's meme the protagonist's name is Kevin.
@alicemilne14442 ай бұрын
That has to be explained to people from Scotland because Kevin is a very common name in Scotland, Ireland and English-speaking countries. It comes from the Gaelic and means "handsome". It is not negative at all in English. So for Mert and other people from the UK: In Germany, Kevin is a chav name. It started to be used in the 1980s, presumably after films with Kevin Costner became popular. It's a generational thing along with names like Chantal, etc. In Scotland, the best and funniest illustration of these name fads is a sequence by Kevin [!] Bridges (a stand-up comedian) called "Scotland with Style" in his "The Story So Far" tour (look it up on KZbin) making fun of how people call their children. Have fun with the accent, and if you need help understanding what he says, I'll help.
