He lives and works in Moscow/Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship. Maestro Igor Krutoy shared the story of the creation of the work 'Ave Maria' for Dimash. When writing a hit, Krutoy is guided by the Italian principle: every composer is worth exactly what his latest work is worth, which means that all previous successes and achievements do not count. “On one of the nights, about three months before New Wave, Dimash called and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him and he explained that he wanted to sing something in that style... He has lots of great notes at the end of his great songs on his great performances. It's this particular one on Ave Maria at the end that has me possessed. It has some type perfection that's beyond perfection and I keep wanting to listen to it. It didn't happen at first. It's been happening after listening to KZbin reactioners. Hey, Heather. I hope you had a blessed weekend. Dimash's rendition of "Ave Maria" is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance numerous times already since it premiered, and no matter how many times I have already watched it, I am still moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice. This was the final of three songs Dimash premiered in August 2021 during his appearance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krutoy on the piano. This is a vocalise interpretation of Schubert's "Ave Maria " 's opening vocals." Igor Krutoy composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. I read somewhere that the piece uses only three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note. Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music, which is where he got the inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals. Someone else likened it to "a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!" The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce," the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most challenging vocal exercises, and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master. There are at least 11 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. Dimash is just great, isn't he? He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear this song. And I love it when the drums come in. It's so unique. Igor Krutoy (the gentleman at the piano) composed this version of the Ave Maria at Dimash's request. Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to. Besides that Dimash is a Muslim and Igor Kurtoy, who often accompanies him on the piano, is Jewish. That is why this Ave Maria has no lyrics, since it is not only sung for Christians. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. He performed this song on the same show as Stranger, just not on the same day. I have many Dimash songs that I consider favorites and I can't decide which one is better. Most people thought of the traditional prayer but this is not the Franz Schubert´s Ave Maria, on Bach/Gounod´s, or Michael Lorenc´s or Ave Maria di Caccini. I know them well because I used to play them when I studied to play the piano. Dimash did a new one composed by Igor Krutoy and I guess that it started to take form from that featuring in "Love is like a dream. It has not lyrics, it is magic using only one vowel

As for Dimash videos, since there might be multiple version of a particular song that you might want to react to, may I suggest that you do a youtube search with dimash + song name e.g. dimash screaming, youtube will by default show you the relevant video with most video view count. Since you want to get more views reacting to a video with 20 mil view should translate to getting more views than say reacting to video with 50k view. Just a suggestion 😊.

It's really amazing what can be accomplished when you can compose music for someone who has unheard of vocal capabilities.

Hi Heath 🐻‍❄️☝️. My fav Dimash's song...is the saddest song he ever sang. Not because i like sad songs much, but because you could see him ripping his heart apart. The cover is "Karagym Ai". He sang it during Covid in an empty hall as a tribute to his music mentor who passed due to COVID. Who also wrote that song to his daughter's weddings as father's speech but she died before her wedding. The lyrics are sooo beautiful that I've learned them in Kazakh. But the emotion are unparalleled. There is two versions. Id recommend the first raw one.

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

That's a new version of Ave Maria. Igor Krutoy, the man on the piano, wrote it for him. The version you're probably used to is written by Franz Schubert and even that version was reworked into Latin from the original German.

This version of Ave Maria was composed by Igor Krutoy, (the pianist) at Dimash’s request. Obviously Dimash is a Muslim and Igor is a Jew, they are hardly going to perform the original or the lyrics since it’s a Catholic Hymn. I wouldn’t and I’m a born again Christian….that hymn is totally unbiblical, full of idolatry which God says is a sin. Jesus sure has a sense of humour to have a Muslim and a Jew, bring us into His presence with this performance! I pray that both Dimash and Igor come to have a relationship with Jesus Christ one day, since He is the only way to eternal life in heaven.
