See remember the first time I heard Violet Orlandi I was instantly hooked! She also helped open a vast treasure trove to other really good Young Ladies and they're teams who are just smashing it man!! I won't name them as that's part of fun is in finding them for yourself through reactions man! 😉🤘 Ai Mori is incredible though too must be said she does a lot of Rus covers I'll still listen to them she has talent! I respect that they kept the speaking part in. It has a major impact on the song and I hate the clean Disturbed version that cuts that part out. The song loses some of its impact.

I both do and don't agree. It adds a lot more impact to have it in, but it also makes it extremely uncomfortable to listen to casually. I always have to actually stop and consider if I'm in the right headspace to handle that part when it comes up in my playlist

There is another version of the song where they at least keep half of the mother part and they censor it by having him get hit so does little screams instead which is the version I always heard on the radio. It's super weird to me that they fully cut it in the music video since it has all that build up just for nothing to happen.

@@BLeePrit I think once people realize that the song is about society abusing people and beating people down, which is who “mommy” is, the spoken part takes on a less sinister and much more political tone. If someone doesn’t understand what the songs about, then that section can seem insane and be taken as a mother abusing their child and then the child killing their mother.
