They do have solos on their previous album Save Us. Its a show of their individual personality mostly, not their vocals. If you want vocal showcase, try It's Live channel. They sing live with bands. They did Maison, Some Love and Vision just by singing without the dance. So you can appreciate their live vocals. There are also special clips where they cover songs. Some solos like this, some units of 2 n 3 members, some by all members. U can cherry pick them. Spoiler alert: they sound amazing.

Exploring the members is a great idea. There are special clips for Siyeon's "Paradise" and " Entrancing." JiU's "Cherry," SuA's "No Dot," Gahyeon's "Playground," Yoohyeon's "For You," Handong's "Winter," and Dami's "Beauty Full" all have special clips. They are all great in there own way. My favorite is Dami's "Beauty Full," which she destroyed live during their recent concert in Seoul.

dreamcatcher \:D/ you got the name pretty correct - "she-yawn" actually only 1 of the 7(yoohyeon) knows enough english to speak casually, but even then you can tell she has a hard time finding words at times. most of them can only answer using 1-2 words during english interviews. I think some bts fans are maybe too defensive in making their them look perfect in every possible way. 'special clips' are basically low budget videos dreamcatcher puts out. many of them are b-side songs, but there are also a lot of covers that they do like this one. what they choose to cover will show off their personality. siyeon for example liked aladin so that's why she did speechless. most of the special clip solo covers are done by siyeon and yoohyeon who are the main and lead vocals respectively. some yoohyeon covers include secret love song, touch, and perfect. I think a good live video for you to check out is their performance of 'some love' and 'vision' on "it's live" channel. no dancing, they are just standing in front of a mic with a band behind them so you can tell how each member sings more easily.

You're in for a wild ride with Dreamcatcher solos, covers, and unit songs. So many genres are covered and they slay all of them! We all have our favorites, but if you're interested in covers JiU and Yoohyeon did a cover of "Monster" by Irene and Seulgi (Red Velvet members) not too long ago. So good, definitely one of my personal favorites.

Each member has helped write their own solo song for their 2nd full album. It really showcases their individual styles in vocals and genres. I think she's a fair bit better now, but at this time, Siyeon (pronounced "she-yun") actually couldn't speak very good English... but with her excellent ear and plenty of practice, she was able to make it _sound_ like she could. Siyeon loved the Aladdin movie, too, which was what inspired her to do this; she saw it three times at the cinema! For more solos, I'd recommend going to Dreamcatcher's channel, and under the Playlists tab, look for Special Clips. This is where they post videos for B-sides, but also covers; some full-group, some sub-units (two or three members), and many solos, including Speechless. 😉 It's a real treasure trove...

Besides their original solo songs that I've seen suggested a lot, some more solo (and a few duo) covers I would recommend: JiU & Yoohyeon - 'Angel 2 Me' SuA - 'COPYCAT' (she also made a choreography for it) Siyeon - 'Overdose' (live) Handong - '청명한 심장소리' (a Chinese song) Yoohyeon - 'Secret Love Song' Yoohyeon & Dami - '팔레트' ('Palette') Gahyeon - '이 지금' Gahyeon - '월급은 통장을 스칠 뿐' Some just don't have English titles but if you copy and paste those titles, you should find them, they're all are from their official channel; except Overdose, which was a performance on some competition show, but that one should be easy to find.

Every one of them has a solo song and they are all super cool! They all also mady many covers mainly solo or in duets. Get ready for amazing journey. Although for Dami I would highly recommend her quite recent Mushroom Live where she performed cover of Dessert by Hyo. It is fire! And for Handong an interesting choice would be her chinese solo song which was released today - 那天 (That Day). Absolutely beatuiful song showing her amazing yet often underappreciated vocal and musical sensivity. Also Yoohyeon's cover of Secret Love Song is simply amazing and really good shows her vocal range.

A love song of sorts to her real life dog Cherry. VERY cute. SuA (soo-ah) - No Dot, hip hop(ish). About longing and obsession. Excellent lap dance song which members had fun with during their US tour. SuA material is always spicy. Siyeon (she-yawn) - Entrancing, ballad. Handong (hahn-dong) - Winter, R&B. m/v starts with a piano arrangement from a fan. Yoohyeon (yoo-hyawn) - For, jazz. All in English. Dami (dah-mee) - Beauty Full, pop punk. The rapper can also sing, and listened to Green Day a lot in middle school. Gahyeon (gah-hyawn) - Playground, pop. Young adult reflecting on childhood.

For several great reasons. She can be LOUD when she needs to be but she can also be subtle (not many singers can do both). She can fully belt and still NOT deafen everybody, she does not have to go big in order to belt a note. She is really stable even WHILE DANCING (they actually write songs with the choreo in mind so it sounds right when they are dancing on stage). She's just amazing. :)

i wouldnt necessarily say they are fluent in english but they understand it for the most part and are constantly trying to learn so they can better communicate with their international fans. Yoohyeon is the most fluent member and is usually the one that translates for her members.

One band I really suggest you listen to, is a band called STARSET, they've been around for awhile and really have a different kind of a style than a lot of other bands, a few of my suggestions are: Monster, My Demons, TRIALS, Echo, and Waiting on the Sky to Change. They're one of my favorite bands, and I believe they're super underrated. Give em a try.

I've just caught up on your whole DC playlist (except "Fairytale," which is next!) and I have to say--if you want to hear each member sing solo, you might want to check out the solo tracks on the album _Apocalypse: Save Us._ Each member has a solo track that they helped to write and produce, and they each have a "special clip" to accompany the song (basically a lower-budget-than-an-MV performance video). They are: "Cherry (Real Miracle)" by JiU "No Dot" by SuA "Entrancing" by Siyeon "Winter" by Handong (whose name means "winter" in Mandarin) "For You" by Yoohyeon "Beauty Full" by Dami "Playground" by Gahyeon If you search for the name of the song plus "special clip," you should see them come up. Finally, if it helps, here are the members' name pronunciations, as best I can explain it in English: JiU (JEE-ooh), SuA (SOOH-ah), Siyeon (SHEE-yuhn, the "eo" vowel is kind of close to the schwa or "uh" sound that English speakers use when we slur our "o"s or "a"s as in "gonna" > "guh-nuh," but a placed a little farther back in the mouth), Handong (HAN-dong, bright-ish "a"), Yoohyeon (YOO-(h)yuhn, same "eo" vowel as Siyeon, the h is almost silent), Dami (DAH-mee), Gahyeon (GAH-yuhn, same "eo" as Siyeon and Yoohyeon, the h is almost silent).

Her name is pronounced She-yawn. The basic rule here is that, for Korean words, 'si' and 'sy' is pronounced as 'she'. An 's' followed by any other vowel has a normal 's' sound, like SuA is pronounced Soo-ah. Not all kpop idols speak English. Blackpink is kind of a special case because 2 of the members spent an extended amount of time or grew up in an English speaking country. Siyeon doesn't speak much English. She knows some common words and phrases but she's nowhere near fluent, or even conversational. This means that she learned the majority of the lyrics in this song phonetically. And, yes, her pronunciation is really quiet remarkable for a non-English speaker. In fact, the only member of Dreamcatcher who can speak English with any level of competency if Yoohyeon. She's not fluent, yet, but she can hold a conversation in English. She's also mostly self taught. Handong, the Chinese member, is teaching her Chinese and she is or has dabbled in other languages as well. As for solo work, here's a few to consider from DC's main vocalist and lead vocalist, Siyeon and Yoohyeon. This is just off the top of my head (and I haven't had my coffee yet) so it's by no means a comprehensive list. As such, each song is more of a reflection of each members personality than your usual DC song. They are... JiU - Cherry SuA - No Dot Siyeon - Entrancing Handong - Winter Yoohyeon - For Dami = Beauty Full Gahyeon - Playground PS: None of this comment is meant to be condescending or snarky, just informative. Hi there, love that your getting into that amazing group that is Dreamcatcher. Siyeon here is arguably amongst the very top tier singers of any gen of Kpop, ever and she's really is he MAIN VOCALIST of DC for a reason. But if I'm being honest, I can't help but think that Yoohyeon is almost more talented then her. You should definitely check out her Touch and Secret Love Songs covers, it's astonishing, it feels like she's not even trying, that 's how good she is. She's also sooo hardworking, and even though she's not my bias, I'm being more and more wrecked by her as the comebacks and covers go.

Whenever you see a Korean name with "Si" it's pronounced "Shee" so it's "Shee-yon".🙂 The other members. JiU - Gee-yoo SuA - Soo-ah Handong - Han-dong Yoohyeon - Yoo-hyon Dami - Dah-mee Gahyeon - Gah-hyon Each name is two syllables so the "hyeon" bit is like "yon" with a short huh sound at the start.
