I'm latin american and I agree that Floor is something else. As they say, she's the full package. When I started watching Beste Zangers, a show and a format that I didn't know before and I saw a Latin American ( in fact half latin american, half Dutch singer) I thought: "Will Floor try to sing in spanish ?" and when she presented the song in the show I was thrilled. Well, she dedicated the song to all her latin american fans, which she knows are a lot of really enthusiast and dedicated fans. Who cares if she said "entregastes" en vez de "entregaste" or that sometimes it's difficult to understand what she's saying (it happens a few times, very few times). What is important here is her body language, her face expression, that joy that she shows everytime she performs live. And of course, her voice... You can see how she loves her profession. A real professional, and an adorable person. Well, thanks for your reaction. You are one of my favorite reactors.

One of the great pleasures of Floor watching - and listening - is that one can appreciate her immense talent but also be surprised at every turn. And then you can repeat-watch these performances and still marvel at her abilities. Also, a shout out for the Marcel Fisser Band who so expertly provide the backing. No surprise that Floor would employ them for her solo gigs in The Netherlands (both pre and post-lockdown). Fisser is the guitarist and he’s immaculate in a number of styles. His soloing in this is superb.

If I am not mistaken, this was the second or maybe third performance Floor did in the show. And the others were still completely in chock after her opening "Vilja Lied" - and here Henk does know what to expect - he still hadn't realized what the hell Floor was for a performer. Her versatility are unique. This one - after having been through Floor's "Metal head interpretation" - and added some of her magic sensual add-ons - totally blew the others away. They all said during the shows, that they had to do the songs Floor covered - in new versions, because Floor blew the old ones out - they said with a big smile and deepest respect, because Floor always finds new angels in her covers. Super reaction - and yes - Floor is Floor, and even though she has a sister - Floor is unique.

Rolf his exact words after this: My version is Salsa and she just turns it into a super heavy metal thing, followed by lots of wow. At the end of the episode he did mention Floor surprised him the most. The performance of Henk (Noelia) moved him the most though. So at no point did he mention he had to redo his version and I am pretty sure the same applies to the other performers. Ruben did say during did say after she performed Van de Liefde weet ik niets that she made everything better though. For the record I do love almost all her performances, but there is no reason to post information that is simply not correct. (unless you have a source that proves me wrong of course, always possible)

Henk was the only one bothering to look her up on KZbin before the show. He even comments in the first episide that she's the biggest selling Dutch artist in the world and people should pay attention to her. That was before he had seen her Vilja Lied. He had a clue; the others were taken completely by surprise.

Loved the look(s) on your face throughout the performance. She took Rolf’s very Latin style song and put her metal sauce on it. Also as a gift to her South American fan base, who appreciated this massively. And she does not know Spanish but apparently learned this phonetically. According to comments from Spanish speakers she killed it. Loved the reaction. (Heard it live at her concert in NL, and it was equally good there. )

Good comment, it's a shame Sabina can't watch the intro to the songs. I'm a Spaniard so I can confirm she did a great job. Only a couple of errors that are very difficult for English (Dutch as well I guess) speakers, like the "hard j" as in "Jorge". Known minefield for English speakers. Great reaction as always :D

Hi Sabrina, I love how Floor is still able to surprise and amaze you, despite the various reactions of her singing you have done. But that is what makes her so unique and wonderful. You know she calls herself a "vocal nerd" so she will make sure she does really good when singing in a foreign language. As many others have mentioned she opened the season of the show singing for Henk and pulling of an operetta aria in German with a Floor twist (Vilja Lied,really worth watching, same as all performances of that season).

This show, Beste Zangers was really eye opening to not just me, but The Netherlands too. They weren't very familiar with Floor and this put her front and center in their living rooms every week. The rest of the Cast kill it also which is an added bonus for those of us looking at Floor's performances. haha. Awesome reaction! Rolf had a number one hit with this song, but his version was a Salsa song. I read that Floors version of this song was released in multiple South American countries as a single and it went to number one in 2 or 3 of them and did very well in the others.

@@gillandianyt3920 This was not because of the stigma of metal. I listened to metal music in the 1970’s and 80’s. Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Deep Purple. In my country metal is almost never heard on the popular radio- and television stations. So i started to listen to more pop and rock. During covid i discovered Floor Janssen because of “beste zangers”. Through reaction channels i discovered bands like LoveBites, Band Maid, Baby Metal, Nightwish and Epica, a Dutch band i never heard off. I Am a big fan now. Even going to concerts of Epica and Nightwish and some others.

Hello Sabina Floor does not speak Spanish at all. Almost unbelievable when you hear and see her performance! Floor is a extraordinary talent and in my eyes today the best female singer on the planet. She can sing almost every language almost perfect. You just need to give her time to listen to the lyrics and you have to explain her the meaning of every word. That makes her capable to adjust her mimics and body language when she is performing.

What can't this amazing woman do? It is so wonderful to hear and see Floor perform any song that touches her. Floor does not speak Spanish. When the show started the only thing the other singers knew was that she's a metal singer. Tim, was the only one who knew of Floor because he fronted a band that did a couple festivals where Floors band had also preformed. The others were not aware of her, needless to say, they do know. ❤

In the sofa (Floors victim, lol) Rolf Sanches, did sing this originally as a cachy salsa. Getting right pronounciations of names, cities etc - go to google translator choose the language u need to pronounce. Write the name/words/ city etc. you need (like Finnish, Dutch, Spanish etc.) press the listen button. Google Translator will say the word/s rather well and if you butcher it - blame google 😁

@jenniezelf That is a bit debatable. It has the same origin as Flora and is a sort of abbreviated version of that and coexists with that name in the Netherlands. As such it refers to flowers and the Goddess of flowers and spring. I can't think of a better image of the goddess of flowers than Floor with a flower in her hair. Someone should paint a picture in classical style of her in that role. Yet, 'Floor itself is not a Dutch word (though Flora is) and in that sense are you correct in stating that it does not mean flower. OTOH my name means/is derived from man/human and if somebody asks me what my name means, that is what I would answer.
