If SEVENTEEN is known as the King of Synchronization, then GFRIEND is absolutely the Queen of Synchronization. So many rookie groups look up to them as their role models. They’ve been on hiatus for four years, not because they couldn’t keep up in the industry, but because their label unilaterally terminated their contracts. I hope people realize that not being hugely popular internationally doesn’t mean they weren’t loved and successful in South Korea. The Western market isn’t the ultimate benchmark or standard for K-pop. Being loved and cherished in Korea, where K-pop truly thrives, is what really matters.

The difference with the other groups is that even though their dance was hard, they still looked pure, without looking exaggerated, they don't need a break dance with exaggerated movements to say that you are the best.

they were actually one of the biggest girl groups of their time. For reference, their upcoming comeback and group activities have made it to international news and that specific video is currently on #1 trending on south korea. They're upcoming concert is also sold out for both days not even a minute after the ticket selling opened, with 50k+ people still on queue. Their company, source music, is not originally under hybe. They literally started out practicing down a basement. Girlies built that company from scratch only for them to terminate their contract after getting acquired by hybe. Which is why you cannot blame any fan for loathing that company to death.

Gfriend debuted before twice and both gfriend and twice are 3rd gen. Their concepts and music are very different. Gfriend achieved first all kill with their song rough in 2015 and this was the first all kill of 3rd gen. Yeah THEY ARE ONE OF THE BIGGEST GG OF 3rd GEN. (If you are here for talent that is). They are known for their sharp and synchronized dancing. All of them are above average dancers but never outshines one another while performing (both vocals and dance)They are a very very good example of an amazing team work. They have a video of performing rough all live with no back track (mind you their choreographies are hard af) in yu hyeols sketch book. This got them a lot of fans as less and less artists weren’t singing live those days. You should check it out.

gfriend was really really popular they were in source music the agency that debuted le sserafim. they debut long before the agency joined hybe and when they just joined hybe, suddenly the agency disbanding them without any reason. they were still popular at that time even their latest song mago was so popular.

Gfriend has been inactive for 4 years but they are still in the top 4 female groups with the most music show wins. Gfriend comes from a small unknown company but they were able to compete with other girl groups from big companies and also be able to enter the top 5 of the 3rd gen girl groups known as TREBLMAYEO (twice, red velvet, blackpink, mamamoo, yeojachingu/gfriend)

Gfriend is big girl group in South Korea together with Red velvet, Twice, Black Pink, Mamamoo. The video you react right now rank 1st in South Korea KZbin which not any mid GG can achieve that. Only the famous one and have solid fans by Korean GP can achieve that. Also Buddy, please don't get mad at the reactors, they're interested in Gfriend but they always make this kind of reaction with resting face (like our SinB), so please understand them and respect each other.
