I'm glad u discovered Gigi! Their videos on their channel are from 2-3 hour livestreams they used to do in a small garage. They started doing this during the pandemic 3 yrs ago. Everything was closed, they had no gigs & were broke (they played for parties & weddings). Their viewers would request for songs, so this is all spontaneous, thats why she has lyrics in front of her. They slowly became popular, so now they have a new studio. They dont do livestreams so much anymore bc they are busy doing gigs. Oh, KZ Tandingan’s cover of Say Something on THE SINGER (Chinese show where Dimash also competed) is a MUST WATCH. an excellent orihinal is KZ’s NAGIISA Na Naman on the wish Bus or live on BBC Radio in London. But Wish Bus is better because she sings with a band and back up vocals. You’ll no doubt get requests to react to KZ’s other performances on the Singer. You’ll enjoy them all. Say Something is OK but ROLLING IN THE DEEP is the all time ultimate performance for KZ. That's her best performance ever, esp. on that contest. If she only did more songs like that, she'd have won but after Roling in the Deep, she took to slow and not so memorable songs, which I believe made her fizzle during the rest of the contest.

You guys weren't ready for this. Gigi is a chameleon and yes, she can do it all. She's got new mer stuff like "Decode" by Paramore which is 🔥🔥🔥. Also, Sam Smith's "Unholy" is wowza! As you can see, this is one of Gigi's most viewed videos. She was definitely channelling and doing justice to the one and only Chara Khan. Gigi was all up in Miss Khan's ministry. How "tinny" her voice gets is classic Chaka Khan for those who dont know. But Gigi is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Keep in mind that they livestream for hours on end and she's sitting down too. Since you mentioned "Heart", Gigi touched on "Alone" in their rock medley cover (All Time Hits: Medley). You'll definitely hear her vocal range and rocker vocal style in that video -- definitely a Yacht Rock example, Johnny. Also, the Gigi Vibes band is phenomenal. They have great chemistry together and can pretty much perform any genre of music proficiently. I like the custom arrangements they've made to a lot of the songs they've covered. @@throga So the show last night was interesting. The ticket said 5 pm. The first 90 minutes was various singers who sang 2 songs each (so, I’d kind of lost my momentum by the time GV came on, but quickly came back to life). They were fantastic!! The guys were all on point and GiGi was a great stage performer. The elephant in the room (for me, anyway), was the “less than stellar” (just so bad) sound system at the venue. I don’t mean to rip it apart…. GV was truly incredible - just some other aspects of the show through no fault of their own, that took away from the evening. But I did buy 2 awesome GIGI VIBES totes! We love a good tote here in NYC! Great live Dimashathon show today guys! 3 + hours AND while drunk! 💪🏽. Wait - this arm makes more sense 💪🏻. 🎶 “Blinded by the liuiiight… revved up like a deuce….” Cheers 🍷 (To all - I’m joking - no drunkenness happened during this, or any other Throga youtube show, live or otherwise) 😜

I just had to add that I'm so glad that you guys noticed the elegance of how the band performed musically in this video. They are the unsung heroes of Gigi's success, and she doesn't lose sight of this. A lot of other reactors focus solely on Gigi's vocal performance, but it's the band that carries out the beauty in their brand of covers. True musicians like yourselves would always lend your inner ear to the instruments in the song and acknowledge how well they're being played by the musicians. Please continue articulating these observations because they're just as important as pointing out the vocal ability of the singer. Bravo! I must be old because both of these songs are very familiar to me. These songs were on the list I listened to almost daily towards the end of my high school years. "Through The Fire" by Chaka Khan 1984 and "Piano In The Dark" by Brenda Russell 1988. Gigi sings these song so well ....
