I think sam is playing so amazing for 2 reasons..reason 1, he sat on the bench and watched brock purdy for a whole year and learned things from him before he came to MN. And 2, our coach KOC was a QB in the NFL and i think he helped sam with alot of things. KOC definitely taught him how to stay calm and not freak out like he used to and make smart decisions. Sam use to panic under pressure but he no longer does that.

I don't know how anyone in the vikings front office can watch that post game locker room video of Sam and say "we're letting him walk after the season". It's an insane watch.

They did with Case Keenum

@@ccmuscleman21 Keenum had worse stats and was a couple years older in 2017 than darnold is now

@vibinwithboogie u right with it man, i am 17:31 into the video right now and you have some nice insightful commentary on this game. Growing up in MN, I also love the accent (no-homo) and it would be chill if there was some of that twang up here in MN. Happy new year y’all ✌️❤️

Darnold was a top pick for a reason. He has all the tools. In his draft class, I thought he had the most potential, but his turnovers were concerning. I think that has been part of his issues. At the same time the Jets and Panthers don't know how develop QBs. In San Fran he really got some coaching and it has continued with KOC. One big thing is his footwork. His footwork wasn't good in NY. Now it's much better. The offensive weapons around him certainly help, but he has gotten better as the year has gone on with taking care of the football. The biggest help has been the defense. When he hasn't had his best games, the defense was there to bail him out. I will say that he has become extremely confident and lets the ball fly. We have won games BECAUSE of him.

The funny thing is, he's still thrown about the same number of INTs this year as previously, and has about the same rate of sacks. The difference? He's played three more games this year than he ever did in a previous season, and his offensive production is in another dimension compared to what it used to be. So the turnovers and sacks hurt way less in net.

@InchonDM I'm pretty sure you're an idiot, but I will need to check with my idiot expert...

You can't let Darnold walk out of the building. You really can't play QB much better than Darnold this year. I like McCarthy, but he's only 21. At the very least he can sit a couple years. Rookie QBs are always a coin flip. You have to HOPE he is as good as Sam is this year. This is different than Kirk. Kirk was old and coming off an achillies. Pay Darnold or franchise tag him.

I like that thought right there💯🤝🏾

Everyone's talking about "what do you do with Darnold?" For me, there's still way too much football to be played to be having that conversation, and the Vikings front office seems to agree with me. 1-0 SKOL

There’s 4 games left. How big of a sample size do you need?
@bignems3143 күн бұрын
@allengreer2771 it's not about sample size, it's about enjoying this season, going 1-0 each week, and dealing with the off-season when it gets here. I'm not thinking about what to do with his contract until then.
