Liliac is Romanian for bat, more specifically vampire bat. No, Aby wasn’t pregnant, that rumor was circulating last year and was debunked by both someone who is close to the band and travels with them and by her mother. She did take time off beginning in mid-July to prepare for her August wedding followed y her honeymoon and getting settled into her new home. She’s recording with her brothers and sister but is holding off on touring until the summer, which is understandable since she’s a newlywed. They have a new video out of their original song Rise Up, it’s definitely worth seeing!

They generally tailor their costumes to the video they're doing, but a lot of that does tend to lean goth. As for Aby, she took time off to get married, and there was a lot of speculation that she was pregnant, but that was off base. She's back with the band at least part time, although they're using a fill in drummer on a lot of the current tour again.

Thanks Travis and Suzi. Great reaction. Liliac is known as Vamp Metal, so that probably plays into their dress. Maybe it's a Black Sabbath look like you said too. Suzi is right, liliac in Romanian means bat. Abigail took some time off because she got married last summer. I agree----Melody is amazing. She sings, plays bass and flute, and does art. I'm pretty sure the singer on Heaven and Hell was Ronnie James Dio. Thanks again.

Album art on the original Black Sabbath "Heaven & Hell" showed 3 Angels sitting around and smoking......Since Melody does not smoke, and there is only one Melody....She decided to smoke the Flute, instead. Area the video was filmed in..Arabia Mountain is the same stone quarry they filmed part of Dear Father in....yep, same square rock. Abigail works as a Special Needs Teacher in the Minnesota area, where she and her husband live...They have to fly Abigail back to Georgia in order to film music videos with her. She will join the band on the Summer leg of the "Rise UP!" Tour...once school is done. According to Mama Liliac...NO Baby as of yet....and Mama Liliac would be the first to know. You 2 have a LOT of OMV to catch up on....Madness..Carousel....Rise UP!...and on the 22nd of March..."Dream on",, Melody covering Aerosmith's Steven Tyler....so..get busy..

I like Liliac but a big problem I have with single guitarist bands is when they add in leads on top of the rhythm guitar. Its disingenuous. The Warning has been doing it a bit as well for live stuff and for such heavy performance oriented bands it's a shame when instruments are needed to be added electronically especially during live performances. I know The Warning has entertained the idea of bringing extra touring musicians along but even as far as studio recordings, it's a bit disheartening knowing post production has to be utilized for a band to include all instrument pieces, instead of being able to play everything in one take. I think Liliac would be better having Melody back on bass so Ethan can do rhythm and Sam leads but I know Melody also shines best as a sole vocalist. My thing has just always been if you can't perform it live, don't produce it in studio!
